Talking ''Funny'' Way To ''Move Up In Life/Social Status''

I used to work in the restaurant biz for several years actually. At the last place I worked, which was an ''upscale, white table cloth'' type of place I saw something I'd never heard of before. There was a woman and her business partner who had rented out the room upstairs. They were hosting a ''seminar'' for women. From what I understood, it was designed to teach a soon to be divorced upper class woman how to ahem, ''get the most'' out of a divorce. LOL. I was definitely surprised to say the least. It later came to my attention that there is actually an entire sub industry based on this concept. Many women in upper class society apparently marry for money. It's an ''investment'', or sort of business strategy of sorts. Should they feel mr moneybags is no longer the right one, they simply get divorced, take their small fortune and find the next sucker. I've heard of women marrying a guy for a few years (gotta keep things legit looking right?), divorcing and repeating multiple times. There are also seminars which teach women (no matter the social class) how to ''marry the wealthy''. Where these types of men hang out, how they behave, how they dress, what they look for in women, how to catch his interest, and strategies on ''landing him''. Just really threw me for a loop per se when I learned all this. To quote mr upstanding citizen himself Kanye West...''I ain't sayin' she a gold digga...but she ain't messin' with no broke nigga''. Really gives a new meaning to ''gold digger'' eh? Of course there ARE MEN who do the same things to give it a less biased sense, but women are still the majority.

Man that get's my goat. Not that it hasn't gone on for years, but that now it's so common place as to warrent brazzen seminars to issue instructions. I have one word for the fella's....P-R-E-N-U-P!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
No matter how well you think you know someone including the blushing bride, anyone is capable of anything at anytime.
I find it ironic how many "experts" in our society claim that men objectify women as sex objects. Yet know one seems to notice or acknowledge how women objectify men....... as atm machines, checkbooks, and or meal tickets.
I know lots of guys think Kevin Federline is a goon because he got to where he is by marrying Britany Spears and then taking half, but I say " you know somethin'...what's good for the goose is good for the gander!!!"

It is not only the wealthy that have to be concerned. With the amount of competition for rich guys, some gold diggers are lowering their sights to tradesmen etc.

This could easily be taken down a whole other path to. Let's talk about how fair the child support system is. Do any of you have any idea how easily manipulated and abused the child support system in this country is? Because women are the primary receivers of such income, not only can they take the father to court repeatedly for more money but they do not have to claim that income on their taxes and the man cannot write it off as he can with alimony. And, what's worse, the courts are typically on the mother's side in situations like this, which is why men in this predicament, like me, have to hide EVERY ASSET you have. And don't show up with a nice, new car or anything because she'll think "well, if he has money to buy a new car, he's got more money to give me" and next thing you know, you're being summonsed back to court for a child support hearing.

Sooooooooo, it doesn't surprise me that there is a club designed by women to get the most out of men that they can. I will tell you, the next time I get married (if there is a next time), I'm getting a prenup. I'll be damned if I'm going to get married and then instantly like the snap of your fingers, half of what you've got becomes hers. FUCK THAT!

I must say that as a son of a single mother, I do agree that child support is a bit of a trap. My mother trapped my father and here is how: He was married, she wasn't and they were both in school to get their masters working at the Space Center. Well I was conceived and when my mom found out she was preganent and keeping me, they talked about finances. He said he would help her out as much as he could when he was on his feet and that was that. Well, he doesn't know what happened (and I've never had the balls to ask her about it) but all of a sudden he's being served with child support papers and his wife finds out about the situation. She states he can only pay child support if he never sees me and he agreed.

Now, on a personal note, I would like to say that perhaps had she not sued him for child support my father would have continued to live a lie for god knows how long and I would have continued to think I was artificially inciminated until I was old enough to put two and two together and lord knows how painful that would have been but maybe I would have known my father from a very early age instead of him randomly showing up after the divorce when I was 10 or so (and maybe he would have never been divorced).

Now back to business and this is how I feel after I had a recent pregnancy issue myself. Child support should not be something forced upon an individual but then again, who would pay it if they were not being forced to? I feel like I would but it would depend on the following: What if your with a girl that you barely know and say the condom breaks or worse, she lies and says she's on the pill, infertile, etc, and she becomes pregnant and decides to keep the child. Now, is it really the man's responsibility to give that woman money for a child that they had no intention of having? I understand that sometimes mistakes just happen and people become pregnant but is it really right to make the man pay money every month for a couple of nights of passion. Is paying money every month really a way to "support" a child. In all honesty, my mother works for the government as an engineer and makes good money. I think I would have benefitted from a child custody program. Do away with child support and you are obligated by law to visit/take custody of the child for a week or every other weekend. I can honestly say that knowing who my father is, having the truth about where I came from, and having a relationship (it may be shakey but at least I will have had one from being a baby) would have benefitted me more than having a computer or video games in the house. I still feel the emotional scars of my father choosing to pay money and never see me. I would have much rather preferred the opposite. It's pretty hard to hate someone you've known all your life. And how could I hate the man who TRIED TO BE A FATHER PHYSICALLY, and not financially, while trying to save his marriage. I think I'd have more respect for him than disdain.

Furthermore, this is really embarrassing, but when my mother and I were having some serious problems in high school, I said "If I'm that big of a burden then send me to live with my dad" to which she replied "if I sent you to live with your dad, I'd lose 4800 dollars a year in child support." I love my mother to death but I will never forget that moment nearly 8 years ago. I definitely do think women will use men as pay checks just by bearing a child which to me, should be looked upon as just as immoral as abortion in our society (although i do not see abortion as immoral, just stating how I feel it is viewed in this country).

I think this is a country where we try to solve problems with money. Emotions, health, family, you name it and a price can fix it. Think of how many happier people there would be in the world if men were forced to just be there and not PAY there. Again, child support is great on a mutual basis, but parenting does not involve a check book.

PS. Any ladies out there looking for a chocolate sugar baby who knows how to love, hit me up
