    Question guys. I have been edging for a long time now. Probably since I was about 16 (I’m 24 now). I always jerked off for long periods of time when I had the chance. It just made it much better to stop and go several times. I’ve been reading about the benefits of this edging on this site and another PE site. It looks like a good thing to do after your workout. But at what point does it become counter productive? I can edge for hours without losing control. My personal best was 3 hours once when I was 18 and I had a lot of time on my hands and a bunch of new pornos to watch. I don’t have this time anymore, but if I wanted to, I could stop and go all day probably before losing control. Eventually you dick and balls start to ache but I don't each this stage for at least an hour now. Is this good or bad for you? Is it even necessary to go over a certain amount of time of edging? Thanks for the answers guys!

    Edging should be about developing stamina and control, and improving blood flow. It can become counterproductive if you condition yourself to ejaculate only after very heavy stimulation. This can happen if you make your edging sessions intense with a tight grip and if it starts taking you a long time just to approach the first PONR.

    If you can keep a rock solid erection for 20 minutes straight (even after holding off a few PONR scenarios), you will have attained a high degree of stamina.

      You don't want to beat yourself to death. I think 3 hours is impressive, but a little much. 30-60 minutes is probably ideal, using a light grip. After your edging session, if you are overly sore and/or red, you can probably cut back a bit. Something that helps me a lot is to concentrate on all areas of the penis, not just the head/glands. Find other stimulating areas (they're definitely there), and gain control of them. Better to surprise yourself in an edging session than actual sex.
      Starting stats - June 08': 6'' NBPEL, 4.25'' EG
      Initial Goal: 7'' NBPEL

      Sept 09': 7'' NBPEL, 5'' EG
      Jan 10': 7'' NBPEL, 5.5" EG (begin maintenance routine)
      June 11': 7'' NBPEL, 5.75" EG
      July 13': 7" NBPEL, 5.9" EG, began jelqing again.

      Goal: 7.5" NBPEL, 6.25'' EG

        I often did over an hour as a teen, I would say rarely over 2 though. KP seems to suggest over 30 min helps penis growth.
        Other than the too tight grip thing I don't see any great downside. On the other hand time and energy would become an issue, if you wanted to do extended sessions regularly.

          Ha...30mins! :S SFX, like you i always went a long time... i think my max ever was about 4 1/2-5hours in one session, however the effects were unknow and friends i told about it weren't as impressed as i was..

          Probably had something wrong going on with my teenage hormones

              Hey @jadzeno69 I know this is a bit off topic, but that's a pretty impressive girth gain from Sep 09-Jan 10. Any tips on the best exercises you reckon contributed to that? Just asking on the off chance, no pressure ;-)

                6 hours once.

                I do not recommend it; especially if you don't ejaculate and have to do some physical activity right after.

                  Long edging sessions are very challenging . Practicing edging with partial ejaculation ( without orgasm ) 17 hours with 8 sessions and 35 partial emissions . When the final orgasm and 36th ejaculation approached , the glands and ducts of my penis were empty . This is very frustrating for the male body. The goal of my edging procedure is to reach 57 partial ejaculations .
