Q. Why is it I’m able to last for a long time masturbating and edging but not during sex?

Big Al: Consider what happens during the Erect Kegels. With an erection, when you contract the PC the penis visibly “hyperexpands”.  This is tissue stretch at work.  The effects of kegels on erection size have even been noted in Wikipedia:
