Dr. Paolo Gontero is Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Studies of Torino, Italy and is Vice Chairman of the Division of Urology, San Giovanni Battista Hospital, Torino, Italy. He is the Director of a Second Level Master Degree Course in Prostate Oncology at the University of Torino and Chairman of the European School of Urology course on the management of small renal tumours.
Dr. Gontero has written and co-authored more than 100 publications on international journals. He’s also been appointed as Deputy Editor of the pub-med cited review Urologia. Dr. Gontero co-authored a study in 2011 with Dr. Marco Oderda titled Non-invasive methods of penile lengthening: fact or fiction?, which showed non-invasive methods of penis enlargement (penile extenders) as a safe and effective method of penile lengthening compared to surgeries and botox injections.

Dr. Gontero’s main research is focused on the development of new treatment for non-muscle invasive bladder cancer. His main clinical interests are Oncology Urology Surgery, Laparoscopic and Robotic kidney and prostate oncological surgery and Reconstructive Urology. Dr. Gontero is also the Scientific Director of the “Prostate Project,” a multidisciplinary clinical and research working group in the field of prostate cancer.
