  • I keep on overtraining - need help please!

I started the JP90 on December '16 and almost immediately started with the complete set of jelqs (150+75 v-jelqs). I quickly began to do it every single day thinking I could maximize gains that way (what an idiot right?). Thankfully I was bad at jelqing and didn't do too much damage. But after 4 weeks, I couldn't neglect the negative PIs anymore. That's when I actually learned about overtraining.
I lost a month an a half of training...

I started again the JP90 mid-Jan. This time 2 days on 1 off. Started slowly and began to see very great PIs! But then I began mastering the jelq technique and could put a lot of blood flow pressure on my dick (going up the shaft and holding below the gland with the 1st hand while the other hand is starting from the base. Great feeling btw!) But again today I start to feel some negative PIs (less horny, softer erections, pins-and-needle feeling in the shaft when erecting).

So now I'll rest for a good 2 days and start again from scratch.

I really can't control myself. When I feel good PIs I just want more and more until I overtrain... Have you guys experienced that as well?
Also, when I get negative PIs and feel less horny I am really tempted to go back to porn. It's a vicious circle.

Make sure you are training with an objective mindset.

That's what I did the second time. Respecting the 2 days on 1 off, but the intensity of my jelqs is not mesurable and it's easy to jelq too strongly for my level.
What if I reduce my jelqs from 150 to 50? Could I keep jelqing strongly without overtraining?

Also understand that you are still working on your conditioning. Start with half the JP90 and slowly build up. You are gaining so don't get down on yourself. Taking rest days really are important.

One has to overtrain in order to find that fine line of perfect training..

Jay hit the nail on the head. You know your boundaries now. So slowly build the boundary further out.

You're right, I misundersood you. I do need an objectif mindset instead of a crazy eager mindset like I have. But it's not that easy. It's like saying to an alcoholic to have an objective mindset to stop drinking. It solves every issue right?
Am I the only one that struggles with eagerness and keep falling into the overtraing trap?

That's true, at least I feel like I'm learning something everytime I overtrain. I just wish I didn't waste so much time.

It's not wasted time. Don't count it that way. Use the time off to learn massage techniques. Use the time to do Hindi squats, reverse kegels, yoga. Use the time to get better on other aspects of PE. Do others fall into the overtraining trap? Oh yeah. It is a very common problem.

It's hard not to feel like it's wasting time, but as long as I learn something I guess it isn't Gotta stay positive. Gosh, finding the right balance is more complex than I though. I just feel blessed I haven't injured myself already!

Can't know where the donger stands if you don't overtain the fawker every so often.

Just don't overtain to the point where he'll need a cast.
