How can I do the UJ

Alright, I am a bit confused on the UJ. so to put it simply, to uli/jelq, am I supposed to put my fingertips into the bottom of my shaft, then jelq and squeeze at the same time while going up towards the glans? Until then, I might as well do the Uli and Jelq separately.
