  • Proper Kegel?

Hello, after lurking for quite a while I decided to do the PE exercise, but it seems like I'm having difficulties right in the beginning.

I looked at the JP's 90 day routine and attempted to do a kegel. After watching videos and reading instructions to see my LOT, I don't know if I'm doing it right because, it just tugs in all directions.

Does this mean I cant grow or am I not doing the kegel right?

    Welcome to the gym!

Don't worry about the LOT for now, just do your stretching in all directions. As stated in the JP90 thread the LOT is now considered obsolete.

LOT (Loss of Tug). This theory was first posted by Bib.

This is now considered obsolete. Exercises should be done in all directions.

I'm leaving this for it's curosity value, as this was the hot theory
back at the very beginning of PE. I believe in the late 90's.

The LOT was a theory used to help get an idea of the potential gains that can be made by stretching the suspensory ligament. Another method that you can try is to do the Mirror and Palpation Tests - Determine Your LOT Angle - PEGym. It is also recommended now that you do not kegel while stretching.
