  • Struggling beginner, please advise

I posted before some months ago and still don't feel I'm heading in the right direction. Will try to keep this brief but concise as I find it's easy to get lost in long posts:

Overview of me (as I know this gets asked):
    Diet: Clean
Exercise: Daily (was overweight but not obese, losing weight currently)
Smoking: quit over 2 months ago
Drinking: reduced but still gotta have fun
Stress: Present but trying to manage
Medication: Ssris, reducing to nil (Dr currently thinks I'm at sub therapeutic level)

Was aiming for JP90, have created a spreadsheet to track, rice sock for warm up, cocoa butter for jelqing. Bought a bathmate and tested it but was going to introduce once conditioned.

So my problem is really the response my dick is giving me. Personally I think I'm getting very slight negative PIs, I haven't really got to the point where I'm worrying about gains, I just wanted increased EQ and morning wood to know I'm going the right way, then in my head I know I'm getting something right and to carry on.

Prior to PE (more recently anyway) I'd say I hadn't had a lot of morning wood anyway, my EQ hasn't gone down either. I'd just say my dick feels like it is less interested and takes a little longer to get hard. I think I've been less horny mentally generally and it may be the case that I'm heading to a point where my current relationship isn't the one for me. Morning wood was great when I was first with her!

I recently took two weeks off to rest and start again, this time I've decided to just try a bathmate routine, I've literally started on 2 minutes at a comfortable pressure, with some occasional light and brief stretching. I've also tried to reduce the intensity of my stretching a lot. Barely a week in and I feel I'm getting similar signals. Part of me thinks it's the stretching, one thing I notice is I get this sort of dull ache which I think is possibly coming from the urethra about a centimetre from the base, but no proper pain and nothing that specifically happened while stretching, its almost like a 'fatigue' feeling, like you often hear mentioned... However another point is I never seem to get this fatigue after a workout, also keeping my erection level up during jelqing is tricky which seems backwards for a newbie.

That did end up a bit longer than I hoped, but hoping I got the right info in.

Any analysis and help welcome on what I should try, where I'm going wrong? Feel free to ask any questions.

        What are your T-levels?

When you say 'clean diet'...what do you mean by that?

I'm assuming you mean testosterone levels? If so, I don't think that's something I can just ask my doctor to do. I'm from the UK btw.

Clean as in everything freshly made, nothing packaged or processed, except limited amounts of bread and pasta. Lots of good fruit and veg, meats and fish etc

You said that you don't think that is something you can ask your doctor to do? Why is that? You are the client...you can ask him to order a test to see where your levels are at.

I am not a "client" over here, hence my pointing out I'm in the UK, I could maybe see if I could get it done privately somehow.

I did spend some time reading up on the topic since you replied and I'm not sure I'm suffering from the overall symptoms of low T levels, and what triggered you to suggest it? My overall lowered appetite at present? I might suggest it was other reasons first. Nonetheless, would lowered testosterone be leading to my lack of success with PE?

Even if you are in your 30's, your hormones may be the best place to start to figure out the lack of success with PE.

Second place...your mindset. Are you focused when you do the exercises? Are you using porn?

I appreciate your efforts, but I feel you've come to quite an extreme answer quite quickly, and I have no real symptoms of it.

Mindset may be another thing altogether but I don't think I've had a negative outlook, and no I very rarely watch porn and haven't done for years.

I think for me I am in a difficult phase in life although I'm winning at getting out of that situation, but overall I'm not content...yet! So theses kinds of stresses may mean I'm not so horny of late, plus I did mention my relationship at present. I find when I end one I'm not happy in I start fantasising about new women again and it gets the juices flowing.

Either way, I feel I should be able to find more of a balance with the exercises to promote my overall penis health. It's not like I have a problem getting hard, with pretty decent EQ as I always have. I just find if anything that's going very slightly backwards and not forwards, so perhaps it's just even more patience and building up incredibly slowly?

Any other thoughts from people? Is it really that I just have to start that slowly and gently and build up?

I tend to do jelqing based on time not reps, so was doing 10 minutes but perhaps that was too much too soon. Also think my grip was possibly quite tight but not sure... I seemed to need it to be tight to get blood into the head?

I will look into my overall wellbeing with a nutritionist, one I've found seems quite holistic and may include hormonal balance, so will attempt to investigate this route also to rule in or rule out any other possibilities.

My new thinking is I will try Babbis Light Beginner Routine (can't start much slower than that), feel like maybe I was stretching and jelqing too intensely so gonna go very slow and gentle, and starting with 75 reps (each hand), build up to his 150 see what response I get.

Is it common for beginners to struggle to find this "sweet spot" of intensity to get good PI's and growth?
