I'm new to this world, but I wish I discovered it sooner! Maybe you guys can help me out. I naturally have a situation where at the base I'm almost 1/2" thinner than at the widest part of the shaft. I'm at about 5 1/4" at the widest and would like to get it thicker throughout, but with a focus on the base area. I've never done any kinds of exercises or used any tools before. Any help is appreciated!

The Squeeze exercise will give more even development. Make sure you dig the hand at the base in as deep as it'll comfortably go into your pubic base.
If you wish to perform jelqing, lighten up the intensity of the stroke as you approach the glans. This should encourage an even distribution of girth gains.

I have at least a 1/2" difference between the base and mid shaft. I haven't really had any success in 10 years reducing the difference, but I have made both the base and midshaft thicker. Just like the guys with the big base, it will always be bigger. Where a small base may be useful is for lengthening exercises as the ligaments are smaller and easier to stretch. Work on getting as much of your inner dick out first through stretching. Stretching may also increase the girth to some extent. I don't know your length, but when you're over 7", the base is not that important, since you might not even use it unless you're going balls deep. You can also stretch the front part of the vagina with your midshaft by pulling out further when thrusting. Embrace your baseball bat because you can stretch a girl's vagina from the front all the way to the back. In comparison, a cone-shaped penis can only stretch the front, and the deepest part of the vagina gets less action.
