  • Jelqing = ZERO Expansion, need help!

    Hey guys!

I have heard about PE for the first time around 8 years ago. And I have been doing PE for about 5-6 years now but not very consistently. I cannot count the times I have started, stopped, adjusted routines, started again, failed, talked with some german PE forum members, adjusted again, failed and started all over again. Within these 5-6 years my primary goal has always been girth. I think (if I have measured correctly back then) that I have gained about 0.5 cm (0.197 inch) of girth during that time going from 11 cm (4.3 inch) to around 11,5 cm (4.5) on a good day. Now I am 26 and I am very motivated to reach my desired goal of 13 cm girth (5.1 inch) by the time I retire.....

Just kidding, of course I am absolutely desperate to find out what the f*uck the problem is and why I can't gain any girth at all. That's also why I have quit PE so many times, because no matter what I did, I did not seem to have any success at all. It seems for every bit I gained BPEL I got simutaneously fatter and my NBPEL stayed pretty much unchanged. BPEL is 18 cm (7 inch) now but NBPEL is 15 cm (5.9 inch) on a good day. I might be able to gain 1 cm of NBPEL just by losing weight because I am around 17-20% BF and I want to go down to 10-12%. And having 16 cm NBPEL would be totally fine with me.

BUT WHAT ABOUT THE GIRTH? Why can't I gain? Like I said, on the german forum on which I was active on previously a PE Veteran was discussing my strategies back and forth with me, but now I have basically no idea where to start and which one of the 1000 routines we where discussing would make the most sense.

So now to the expansion problem. It is common knowledge by now that temporary gains are a good sign of growth, if not even absolutely neccessary. However, whenever I jelq I get how much expansion? That's right, ZERO! none! nothing! I might be able to expand the shaft for 1 mm(0.004 inch) but that could also be sloppy measurement. And ONLY while holding the jelq. As soon as I let go with both hands, the expansion is gone as well. The thing is, my glans expans pretty good actually, but my shaft or tunica actualy seems to be made out of steel and no matter how hard or light I squeeze, I don't seem to be able to expand it at all. How are these temp. gains even supposed to look like? Like the ones I get from a bathmate session, spongy and full of fluid? Or still hard?

I am really confused now about what to do. Can you guys help me? Stretching the tunica? intense girth work? a mixed routine? I am absolutely stumped. I hope someone can shed some light on this miracle.

Oh and someone else posted a similar topic and someone suggested that it may be due to having a tight pelvic floor. I indeed hav a tight pelvic floor and I am already trying to correct that with reverse kegels and relaxation exercises.

T.L;D.R: I have zero temp. gains and/or expansion during girth work and have a steel cord and tunica straight outta hell that resists everything, no matter if its jelqing, bathmate or clamping. What should I do in order to finally gain some girth?
    Stats:

    NBPEL 15 cm (5.9 inch)
    BPEL 18 cm (7.0 inch)
    EG 11.5 cm (4.5 inch)

      Thanks for your answer TeoDeles!

YOur thread about tensed PF is really informative and I am already working on relaxing it. But I don't really get the Arm and shoot technique. The description sounds like a normal jelq to me. Can you maybe elaborate a little what exactly the difference is between this technique and a standard jelq? And is the oil neccessary for this exercise?

How would you describe your EQ? Having a high level of EQ is even more important for girth than it is for length.

Well my EQ is pretty high I would say. Probably between 7-8 out of 10. Hard to say, could be a little higher but it's definetily not low

Has your EQ improved since you started training? If you started with an average/satisfactory level EQ, then after several months it should be at superb levels due to training. If your EQ isn't keeping pace with your enlargement routine you're going to have issues making maximum gains.

This is very interesting, as the things you decribe are very consistent with what I've experienced.

The things we have in common:
                - 7 years knowing about PE. 25 years old now.
                - inconsisten all these years due to no "fast" gains.
                - Tried 1000 routines. back and forth etc. made some myself as well. I tried to do tunica tugs as well because some thought it was due to a strong tunica. Did them for 2 months. nothing.
                - No temporary expansion. at all!
                - EQ is good prior to PE. Very good actually. So no "fast gains" possible.

So my questions are, do you experience that your penis goes directly back to normal flaccid after a jelq session? Does your penis have a tight, upward curve as the base? it doesn't have to be significant.

I still haven't cracked the code in PE, and as the years have passed, I don't really care if it works for me. I just like jelqing. But it would be VERY interesting to figure out WHY people like you and me won't gain.

Thanks for your advice Big Al! I'll keep an eye on EQ. I always notice it improves a bit whenever I start a jelqing routine after some time off. Also morningwood is more frequent, which normally I don't have too often. Could be a bad sign or maybe just my sleep cycle.

Now yebber, I am glad I am not the only one who struggles like this
                  - Yes there is no measurable difference between my flaccid prior and after a jelqing session
                  - Yes it has an upwards curve

So neither did I manage to crack the PE code, but there are some things I have noticed and that might cause my problems.

                  - Tight Pelvic Floor due to bad masturbation habits, leading to PE problems and turtling
I am trying to relax it and to get it more balanced for two weeks now. Result? Lower hanging balls and bigger flaccid

                  - Steel Cord in my penis
A very strong steel cord means it's hard to stretch the tunica. Therefore I'd need to focus on exercises that are particularly targeting the tunica.

                  - Warm-Up and Heat is important!
I have the feeling that my "successful" workouts have always been the ones, where I have spent at least 15 minutes warming up

So basically what that tells me is, that a reasonable routine would go in these stages:

stage 1: Balance the pelvic floor again

stage 2: stretching mostly to stretch the tunica until a BPEL-BPFSL difference of around 2 cm (0.8 inch) is achieved

stage 3: Now switch workout to focus on girth. At first, since the BPEL-BPFSL difference is high, gains may result in BPEL gains at first. But as soon as the difference is low enough, EG gains should follow, according to the theory

So I don't know if I have finally figured it out, but I might give it a try. The first step is very important because I didn't know I had a tensed pelvic floor for years. Maybe this can turn out to be a real game-changer, who knows. I hope so

I would be happy if someone could tell me wether that makes sense or not

If you note your EQ start to plateau early in the cycle it's likely a sign you're not getting enough recovery/accelerating your rate of rep or intensity increases too quickly.

Okay thank you! But what do you say about my workout plan? Does it sound good? If not, what else would you recommend?

If you feel you have issues with your PF then get them resolved- but be clear that you do have issues. There can be a lot of confusion as to what constitutes a legimite PF issue and what isn't.

Second, look into targeting EQ for a few weeks or however long it takes until you reach a satisfactory level of performance.

From there, look into a "Girth Only" routine to isolate and accelerate gains in that area.

                          Sounds good brother,

I can tell we have the exact same conditions. I once looked into pelvic floor balance but opted out on it. Maybe I should look into that again. Regarding the tunica, it would be interesting to see if that would solve your no-gaining issue. By working the tunica, it did not solve my mine, I did it for some time, no difference. But again, maybe I did that one wrong. Im gonna look into that as well.
I will keep an eye on you in the future, good luck!

Thank you all for your responses!

I have also quit porn as of today. I went more than 2 months without it during the summer and noticed the benefits such as harder or more frequent morning wood, higher EQ and so on. So that should help me to maximize my EQ as well as the PF relaxation exercises.
I also feel that I could use a little more length before I get into girth training, so I think I will start stretching again until I have reached a BPFSL - BPEL difference of at least 2cm. Then I will switch to girth exercises for some BPEL and EG after the difference is small enough. Let's see how it works, I am excited to start!

Also regarding the PF issues, I think I have some due to bad masturbation habits. I turtle a lot and when I started the PF relaxation exercises I noticed a lower hanging flaccid and lower hanging balls. So I think it couldn't hurt to focus on that as well.
                            Stats:

                              Hello everybody!

I don't know if I should open a new thread for this, but If no one's going to reply here, I guess I will need to.

Now, quick update: Since girth is my primary goal (has always been), I looked into clamping again. For now I am doing it on a 5on2off cycle, 4x5min. on training days. I have noticed about 0.3 cm, sometimes 0.5 cm (again, hard to say if actual expansion or bad measurement) at the shaft. Is that enough temporary expansion during a clamp and can I expect it to go up over time?(and therefore real gains) Or do I need to do a tunica-stretch program first before going back to clamping again?

Hope you guys can help me!
