From reading others' gains after 3 months, it seems like most people gain more length than girth. However, I've also read that jelqing is mainly a girth oriented exercise, and most newbie routines center around jelqing... So my question is, is jelqing more helpful for length or girth? If it is girth, than is the greater increase in length just characteristic of new PEers?

It is generally believed that jelqing with a 40% or so erection targets length, and the more erect you are, the more you'll be targeting girth.
