Thread: JP's 90 Day Beginner Routine
- 10-02-2012 #3271
Great question. This isn't talked about too frequently. Move down just a bit towards the base - just enough so that you remain close to the glans while still applying your stretching pressure to the shaft, and not the head.
Don't worry too much about it; "perfect is the enemy of good." Warming down is still debated in the PE community. If you've researched the topic already and have decided that you want to go with the warm down, just make it happen as good as you possibly can.
As an alternative strategy, you can warm up 2 rice socks and keep one wrapped in an old towel or t-shirt. Enough of its heat should remain by the time you're done with your jelqs.I am no longer an active member on the PEGym.

I see, so there really should be pull in your shaft and not the back of the glands at all. I'm cut and I find that it's easy to put excess pull on the back glands, so I guess I'll move my hand back a smidge. How tight can your ok grip be before you start to hurt yourself though? Cuz I tend to find myself sliding a bit into the back of the glands, fearing to squeeze the ok grip too much.

Use baby powder or something else to get a better grip, you shouldn't be touching the glans at all when you stretch, your ok grip should be at least 2 cm away from the ridge of the glans.

I agree with Steve.
For me, dry hands usually provide enough grip, but whenever there were slippage issues in the past, I just used the cotton fabric from some old boxer briefs to add enough friction. That did the job well.
The grip should be just firm enough to minimize slipping and without making a tourniquet out of your penis. - any harder of a grip is not necessary.I am no longer an active member on the PEGym.

I was using baby powder to help with the grip when stretching, but my dick was getting lots of red dots and darker, almost bruising color near the glans. So I now have been using a lotion that is not that slippery and my penis is not suffering as much. My issue with stretching right now is that after warm up its not total flaccid anymore, so i'm stretching at 30% of so.

When you're stretching in the beg. after doing the stretch and 25 kegels, how long should each circle take when you're doing 10 big circles to the left and 10 big circles to the right? 10 second circles? like really slow....or??
- 10-02-2012 #3278
Oof. Sounds like a potential allergic reaction, or perhaps too much friction/dryness caused by the baby powder. Glad you solved it. I heard a claim that the stuff is a carcinogen, but I haven't seen that substantiated yet.
Back to your question: Eh, 30% isn't too bad. You're still very soft and pliable at that range. Try to bring it down a bit, but you're close to the estimated range. Warming up has the tendency to do that sometimes. Your should be very limp to stretch.
One exception: If you're more of a shower than a grower, your perception of 30% may be a little higher than normal, but my interpretation of 30% is still a reasonably flaccid range for stretching.
An exact count was never given. Just take 'em nice and slow and steady with constant tension throughout the entire circle. I would estimate that 5 seconds for a single circle would be an acceptable figure.I am no longer an active member on the PEGym.

Hey guys, I'm new (just starting) and I have a few questions.
First: when doing the stretches and jelqing I notice that the skin of my pubic area pulls far out; I assume that is normal and okay, but should I be focusing to make sure that I feel the stretch in the actual shaft?
I am warming up and warming down appropiately and I believe I am doing the stretches okay; about the glands issue. I looked up a technique video for the jelq here: Wet Jelqing Video - Jelqing Exercise Video - Jelq Technique | MalesVue he goes over the glands at the end of the motion; is that okay?
Another question; when doing jelqs (and even stretches) i feel like i have to have a pretty firm grip to hold my shaft under the glands; is this okay? I am trying to be careful and I have not noticed any pain yet but I want to be extra careful that I am doing this right.
thanks in advanced guys!
