  • Jelqing & the risks?

    Hello folks.

I'm new here and want to ask you a question. Understand that my potential future PE career may depend on what kind of answer you guys give me. Thanks in advance.

I kinda injured my penis a good while back (7-8 months), and have pretty much recovered; I can masturbate with intensity (no girlfriend right now), and have night-time erections. The only remaining problems left over from my brush with disaster are a prominent dorsal vein, a lump at the end of my dorsal vein, and slight curvature (the two may not be related). The injury concerned my dorsal vein, right beneath the glans, and for a while it really hurt me, and occasionally still does, but it no longer interferes with sexual function.

So. Do you think it's safe for me to start jelqing? If I can masturbate with intensity as I do, do you think my penis can handle some jelqing at lower erection levels (40%-60%)?

I would be very grateful for some informed opinions on this matter, because if I don't get any opinions from jelqers, then I'm just going to have to go for it. My penis depends on you!

Thanks very much, & happy spring.

Cern: Welcome to the PE Gym!

How did you injure yourself in the past? Was it due to PE?

I'm not sure if it's safe to start jelqing yet. That said, I don't know when it would be. If I were you, I'd probably start a very light routine (perhaps only a few minutes of jelqing and stretching every other day), and then gradually work up from there if there's no problems.

    I hope this helps.

      Thanks, good to be here!

Thank you SO MUCH, Remek, for taking the time to address my question. You have no idea how grateful I am. I have asked similar questions all over the net over the past six months, and never get a straight answer.

True, I didn't explain my situation all that well, but it's really good to know that someone's listening.

I am going to see a urologist in a few days, and he will (hopefully) be able to explain exactly what's going on down there. But the gist of it is this (I'll try to keep it simple because I've found that the more details I give the less people want to answer me):

I find this very strange because I've not heard of anything similar. I was showering and playing with my penis, 8 months ago. While semi-erect, I accidentally forced the foreskin on the dorsum of my penis back too far, and immediately felt a sharp pain. (I have seen penises treated more roughly in pornos than what I did to myself, but whatever.) I left my penis alone. To my horror, a few days later I lost my morning wood, and noticed a lump right where I felt the pain, under the skin. I also noticed that my superficial dorsal vein was more prominent, and slightly displaced to the right (I pulled my skin to the right), and the veins which feed into this vein were more prominent, too. The lump is exactly where the feeder veins meet and connect with the dorsal vein, and it seems sometimes like the lump is in fact the dorsal vein, "coiled up" like a snake. I hurt on and off, sometimes very sharply. Sometimes it burned, sometimes the pain was more dull. I also noticed a curve in my penis, but this seems to be unrelated (I may have only just noticed it, too).

Fastforward 8 months, the lump is still there, and sometimes it still hurts, but my morning wood has returned thanks to exercise and change of lifestyle. My erectile function is fine, better than when I was doing cocaine all the time, and I use an extender which seems to help. But I want to jelq. My dorsal vein is still prominent, as are the feeder veins, but aside form that all seems well.

Sorry for the length, but this has virtually torn my life apart.

      Thanks again.

Yeah, man. Definitely get some solid info from your urologist before proceeding with PE. I have no idea personally what could be going on.

That definitely sounds above my head, I might have a general idea of penis health... and that general idea tells me that experiencing pain is a bad thing! I would suggest waiting to start PEing until you see a urologist for sure... any pain is bad and if you start any sort of extra strain that involves stretching and squeezing your penis anymore than you do when you masturbate, you could be in for some trouble...

Whatever you decided to do.... proceed with caution!

Thanks for your help, guys. I understand that my question is hard (if not impossible) to answer, so I really appreciate the effort you guys put in to at least reading it. I also understand how people would rather say nothing than give some bad advice.

The only reason I even bother asking the question on the internet ('cause I'm not stupid) is because... well... I'm desperate for any ideas, and it takes a long time to see a urologist around here, and even then to be taken seriously. But luckily I'm going to see the dude tomorrow, and I'm going to ask all the questions I can.

              Thanks again, guys!

              Cheers.

                Peyronie's Disease
The occurrence of Peyronie's is uncommon. According to medical experts, the causes of Peyronie’s are unclear. A plaque (hard lump) that forms on the penis characterizes Peyronie's. The plaque usually causes a bend in the penis; and in severe cases, may make sexual intercourse painful or impossible. Peyronie's can be treated with exercises, but in severe cases, surgery may be required.

i found this on this website, read it and thought of your situation. i dont know if this is what you have or not, but i thought you might want to know about it.

Yo. Thanks luvs2meatspin, I really, really appreciate it dude. I actually already knew about Peyronie's, and am pretty sure that that's not what's going on here. I think I have more of a vascular issue, since my lump seems to be attached to my dorsal vein, and my lump is not hard, but moveable, and it changes shape with the state of my penis. I'm also only 23, and when I mentioned Peyronie's to my urologist the first time I saw him he practically laughed in my face. But you never know.

What interested me in your excerpt is that "[it] can be treated with exercises". Hmmm. That sounds promising. I do have a curve in my penis, but it seems to be unrelated to my dorsal vein issue (So many issues at once with my poor penis! And to think it used to work overtime). Once I squeeze the urologist for all I can get (ultrasound hopefully) I'll get back to you guys for more ideas.

Thanks again, L2meatspin, and all you other guys, for helping me out in this difficult time.

                  Peace.

Well, I saw the urologist today. He told me that the lump is nothing to worry about, just a dilated vein. I asked him if it had anything to do with the Tunica Albuginea, and he said it is well outside of the TC. He said even if it gets worse, it's nothing to worry.

                    Hurray!

I guess this means I can start jelqing! I'll still start at low intensity, just to be on the safe side, but I not longer feel like I'll never be able to pursue my PE goals. I think I need to celebrate.

Great news, Cernunnos. Warm up with moist heat, stretch lightly, and go slow. You need to recondition. Good luck to ya.

affotte, you are on the verge of being a spammer. This is two posts with the link and the same question. If you have come to the Gym to learn about PE, fine. But if you are here to promote this phone crap, you will be banned. Only warning.
