The gains you're seeing are temporary. Not 'cemented'.

You need to look into a maintenance routine in order to keep your gains. If you stop all PE forever, you will absolutely lose everything you've gained. Even if you don't want to gain anymore, you should do a lighter routine at least twice a week in order to keep the size you've accomplished. If you REALLY don't feel like doing any actual exercises, you should at least incorporate some stamina work into your daily routine which should help you maintain some of what you've gained. But really, it's just like working out your biceps in a sense....If you go to the gym and do curls, you'll develop bigger arms, but if you stop lifting weights suddenly, you can't expect to keep all that muscle without some sort of maintenance program. i believe common practice is to continue your program at least 3 months after you have your accomplished goals to cement them.

I agree with everyone as I have lost some of my previous gains before. This was after cementing them, so I believe a maintenance routine every now and then is required indefinitely.
However, half an inch of girth lost just from taking taking 2 days off is very extreme, perhaps it was more to do with a difference in you're eq at the time?
