This is always the only correct answer. What you think is best and what is best can only be determined by yourself. Yes you need to start somewhere, but after that the fine tuning is all up to you. Do it too often and you risk injury or ineffective results, along with burn out. Doing it too infrequently isn't the worse case scenario, only that your gains will be slower - but often slow and steady wins the race. Doing it when you really aren't into it has its own set of problems. Rushing, or looking over your shoulder to see if someone is coming may be worse than simply skipping a day. Flexibility is what I strive for. I have been lifting steadily for over 30 years, and though I try to stay on schedule, flexibility has helped me stay at it all these years. I approach PE the same way.
