Been reading a a lot about edging and it's obvious it has great benefits in bed (I'm sure my lady will appreciate it). But what benefits, if any, does it have for PE?

I think I've been doing it wrong. I just edged for 50 minutes while watching porn, but I guess I got to the PONR and couldn't prevent it. Just to clarify: Is edging, "I'm jerking off for as long as I can while not ejaculating," or is it, "I'm just stroking the shaft for as long as possible to maintain an erection and keep the tissues expanding for a prolonged period."
I think my version of edging is detrimental because more often than not I am ejaculating, I can't seem to help it.

I can use imagination or porn and fully beat my cock like it owes me money for hours if wanted to. I only reach the PONR if I choose to. And contrary to what I have read about kegels/reverse kegels etc. I use none of these to achieve this. Actually the opposite. I fully relax all the involuntary spasm that you feel when it starts to feel good. Don't get me wrong it still feels good, just in a controlled manner. hey kingpole, it's awesome that you're back posting! Hope all is on the up for you! I took the time to read through all of your log yesterday and while I realise that most of that was a cementing routine, when you were in your growing period did you have a specific routine? And did you have a specific kegel routine to get to the point where you could hold one for 45 minutes or was it just random holds throughout the day? Sorry if this is in the wrong place to ask, welcome back!

I edged today for my first time,and i've got a pretty good time : 58 minutes.I could've gone longer but it started to become frustrating.So,i'm wondering if i did ok:
I had a couple of points of no return after i stroke it a lil' faster because i was bored(the rest of the time i've gone slow),but i didn't really have to kegel.I just went a little slower and i felt a weird sensation:like something was building up in the base of my penis.Possibly the explosion i've heard some of you talk about.And when i ejaculated,it was weird,the first load got on my chin(i was lying back and i'm a pretty tall guy-by the way : NOT COOL)the second and third were also pretty high,and the ammount of sperm was almost double.
P.S.:I did kegel sometimes but not when i was in the PONR.
