I'm pretty new to PE, started doing the JP90 routine a couple weeks ago. Anyways, I hope these questions haven't been asked a million times; I looked over the stickys and didn't find what I was looking for.
When I'm doing the jelqs, I find it difficult to maintain the 60-70% erection throughout the set. I find myself having to stop and do a masturbation-like motion to get my erection back to that level. Am I wasting my time? Since the goal of jelqing is to trap blood in the upper glans and shaft, and when I stop the jelqs to get my erection back, the blood likely runs back out. So am I essentially defeating the purpose of the jelq by doing this?
I don't really enjoy doing PE and I feel that I just want to get it done. Combined with focusing on the technique, keeping an erection isn't easy.
My other question is how can you be sure that natural growth of the penis has stopped? Height and/or shoe size? I'm 19 and I don't want to be interfering with anything.

1. Nope, it's normal to struggle to maintain the right level. Some guys get too erect, others stay too flaccid. You'll get it right.
2. No, the purpose isn't defeated. You'll still move some blood and plump up the chambers of your penis. Keep at it. This problem is likely to diminish as you get used to jelqing.
3. If you don't enjoy it, consider a shorter routine, because consistency is very important. Once you get the movement down, you may be able to listen to music while you do it. But first get the technique down. Are you jelqing seated? If you're standing it's a real chore.
4. Hmm. Not sure that you can be sure natural growth has stopped unless you've been measuring precisely for a long time without changes. At 19, it's tough to say. Guys hit puberty at different times and people naturally vary on just about every trait. Can we guarantee that you're done growing without jelqing? Nope!I am no longer an active member on the PEGym.

Will jelqing hurt you if you still have some growing to do? No it will simply help out.
But the biggest problem I'm seeing is this.... "I don't really enjoy doing PE and I feel that I just want to get it done"
If you want to succeed in PE, you need to have fun with it and enjoy what you're doing, you won't get past your first month if you look at it like a chore. There should be some pleasure during the session, I usually get a great pump when I do the v-jelqs and once I get too hard to jelq I kegal a shitload which is even more pleasurable at 100% erection. Then as a reward you get to edge after its all over! I mean....I find this all to be super pleasurable and it keeps me motivated to keep going.

Thanks for the replies.
As for not enjoying it; it's only 30-40 minutes out of my day, so I can deal with it. It isn't something I hate, it's just not particularily enjoyable.
Good to know the erection thing isn't as big a deal as I thought it was.
