Thread: Time spent on jelqing

Hi, I'm a guy who's 4 months in doing PE with no gains as of yet. I have a question regarding jelqing time during a session. According to various guides I've read you are recommended to move up to around 25 minutes of wet jelqing as a beginner. Now, does that mean 25 minutes of pure jelqing, as in stop the timer whenever the erection-level needs to be corrected or something, or does it mean do as much jelqing as you can in 25 minutes?
I ask this because I can only do about 15-20 minutes of pure jelqing right now, and I want to know if I should try to increase that number to 25 or begin doing 2 days on 1 day off.

Welcome to the Gym Kompo. I don't do my jelqs by time, I do them by counting. If you do by time then you won't be as consistent. If you count, you will always be doing exactly what you set out to do and know exactly how much to increase when needed. What you can do is count how many you do in that 20 minutes you usually spend and then just increase them in small amounts each week. Right now I do approximately 350 per workout. Don't feel you need to do that many.You need to build up while also watching your PI's once you count and get your baseline amount. Good luck.

Then do 15-20 minutes of jelqing now. As you are able add. As for counting reps or going by time, that is strictly up to you. When I do my UJ's I know that 40 jelqs will take four minutes. When doing UV's those same 40 jelqs will require six minutes. I count my reps, but I know how long 40 reps take. I count probably because I have lifted for years and you obviously count reps there. The difference of course is that you could do 100's of jelqs, while only doing a few reps of weights per set. How you count your jelqs or time them is of little worth, how you do them is everything.

Thanks for your answers guys, really appreciate it. I did a count as you said Looking4more and reached 280 (each hand once for 1 rep) in 15 minutes. That's about 3,2 seconds per jelq. I understand that I shouldn't get so hung up about exact minutes or reps to do and just do as much as I think I'm capable of, but I'm just not sure what the best way forward is?
- Increase time spent jelqing and stretching?
- Start doing 2 days on 1 day off (instead of 1 day on 1 day off)?
- Incorporate advanced exercises?
- All of the above?
The thing is that if I switch to 2 days on 1 day off then I probably have to cut a minute or two from a session to cope, same with adding another routine, so I'm really at a loss here.As of now I do stretch in all directions for 30 seconds twice and wet jelqs (around 15 min) + 90 V-jelqs (4 min).

my opinion is if your PI are good and you unit is not trying to tell you hes tired the next day..go ahead and PE..
But its at your own risk..if your totally knew wait to get firmiliar whit how your unit feels when recovered,healing,overtrained,not enought trained ect.
At one point you'll know exacly how long/intense to do your PE routine to be healed for the next day..

rbi99,,,,, when you say 40 reps , is that 1 rep equalling one stroke or one rep equalling one with the right hand then one with the left

One stroke. Each UJ stroke = 6 seconds, each UV stroke = 9 seconds. This not how long I take on each stroke by itself, it starts when I begin my stroke and ends when I have my next grip firmly in place. If I have any skin bundling near my glans I will hold a stretch for a few seconds, but I am also very deliberate while securing each grip.
