To make a rice sock is it literally just any old rice in a thick sock?

Don't use too thick a sock. My wife gave me one of her silk socks (thin) and it works better than the one I had.

yeah i also ten minute warm-up. In fact I did a 3-4 min last week and has to cool it for a couple days, it wasnt enough. RICESOCKS RULE
Starting stats:

Can I also add that I always hold my nuts away from any heat when heating up. I find that way I can go a lot hotter with my heating pack and also it's saferDon't focus on the destination but enjoy the journey!

I use flax seed instead of rice. Somewhere early on a read a post that flax seed holds heat longer than rice. I heat it for three minutes at which point it is too hot to leave on my skin for more than a few seconds so I keep moving it around until it is tolerable. The sock stays warm through the "heat up" and I keep it applied while I do my stretches so I'm heating my unit for 20-25 minutes. No need to re-heat it!

Phibby, I am impressed with not only your thirst for knowledge, but your willingness to share it. After not having much luck at all with length, and having not warmed up prior, I gave the warm up thing a whirl today. If I start gaining length now, I will be disciple number one for the first commandment, "Thou shalt warm up!".
