Well yesterday I received surgey. The doctor removed the varicocele in my left testicle. Now I am swollen from my pubic area to my penis(including testies). How long will it take for the swelling to go away?

Also the surgery took over 2 hours because the doctor found arteries and veins in my testicle. He said that this was his first time ever seeing something like that.

No fever. They have me on oxycodone for pain but I did not take a dose cause I was sleeping and woke up with pain. The swelling went down after sleep so I'm thinking I should just stay in my bed although it is still alittle swollen. The doctor did not say anything about swelling to me. He did say that the surgery was a success and I should be good in no time. The problem is I start school this coming up Monday and I don't know how my testicles are going to feel. I wish I had a wheel chair so I don't have to do much walking because, I feel like the more standing I do the more swelling.

Call your doc's office and present the nurse with these questions. They should be able to answer all those questions.

I had surgery for a varicocele last year and I didn't get any swelling at all. In my opinion you should call your doctor and ask him this questions.
Starting BPEL 7.4" NBPEL 6.8" EG 5.2"
Now BPEL 7.5" NBPEL 7" EG 5.2"
Short-term Goal BPEL 7.5" NBPEL 7" EG 5.5"
