Is there any point to jelqing with almost no erection?

  • Is there any point to jelqing with almost no erection?

    It's near impossible for me to jelq at above 60% erection level. Usually, it's just 10%. I can fantasize to a higher EQ, but it goes back down to flaccid after a couple of jelqs. I have porn induced ED and it's driving me nuts. Anyway, i've been doing the jelqs regardless. But, am i wasting my time here jelqing with a 0 to 10% erection level? I read that there are at least length gains with lower erection levels. But, what about almost non-existent erection levels?

    From what I have been told , there are length gains to be had at lower erection levels.

    Now, from my own personal experience, I tend to agree!

      Well if your still looking at porn stop and don't watch it any more. I use to sit and watch porn every night but stopped haven't watched it since. You don't want to have a full erection though and like you said if you can't keep it then just get it back to that and you might want to try some kegel's as well.

        I don't know if there is or isn't a point as far as actual gains, but it just doesn't feel right or feel like I'm doing anything at all when it's flaccid (except maybe stretching it). But, of course, that's from my limited experience.
        Start - 5.5 NBPEL, BPEL (wasn't measuring - probably around 6.5), 5.5 MEG.
        Current - 7.5 BPEL,
        5.75 MEG.
        Started 3/2013.
        All manual so far.

          from what I understand of jelqing u need to have a semi-errection. If u have a 0% erection I don't see it doing much because there's no blood in the penis. you'd be better off stretching.

          If u can't get a boner without porn that's not a good sign... i'd recommend stop watching all porn. eat a lot of testosterone building foods with high fat like red meat, salmon, butter (preferably grass fed)

            I have severe ED. Accordingly, all my jelqing has been done with a slightly engorged flaccid/soft semi. As long as you can feel the blood moving up the shaft, you are making progress.

              Any jelqing is a help, you may start somewhat flaccid, and improve from there.Just be patient.

                I find that the jelqs are best for length (for me), when they are almost flaccid, but plump enough so that I feel blood moving through the shaft during the jelq.

                  I do feel a little blood moving through. But, it feels like the most minimum amount. I guess, I'll keep jelqing then.

                  And, yes, I am recovering from porn. Staying away from it.

                    The benefits of jelqing come from the blood expanding the chambers of the penis. Jelqing with a soft penis is about as beneficial as trying to squeeze toothpaste out of an empty tube - it's pointless. But hey, that's my opinion.

                    If you need to get more than 60% erect, then jerk it to 80% then start jelquing. If your EQ drops below 60% then stop and jerk it to 80% again. Repeat as necessary.

                    P.S. Congrats quitting porn. I know not looking at porn seems difficult, but how your penis acts without porn is how it acts with a real girl. So stay clean stick to the path less chosen - cause it does make all the difference in the world. Before long, once your brain is healthy, your imagination will be able to keep your EQ up for proper jelqs - most days.

                      I kind of view Jelqing as a secondary warm up in the routine. So you warm up for 10 minutes with rice sock or whatever method of heat you use. Then 10-15 minutes of Jelq and/or V-jelq to further warm up, and condition for more intense work later in the routine. I dont' ever feel like I am getting great expansion or extension from jelqing regardless of erection level. I also use it to refresh the erection between sets of squeezes or ULI's, so I really use it quite often throughout the routine in addition to the initial 15 minute phase.

                      As others have pointed out. You may not be getting a significant enlargement benefit from jelqing at low erection levels at this stage of your PE Journey, but it will serve to condition you while you are also rebooting off the porn addiction.

                      I have struggled with the same issues you describe, but maybe not quite as bad. I could always get 50-60% erection from jelqing, but had difficulty getting 80-90% needed for more advanced work. I would be frustrated that I felt like i was wasting the sessions.

                      I Don't think I was full on addicted to Porn, because I didn't look at it often. Maybe once ever 2-3 weeks. But I would sometimes masturbate to porn with a low erection level, and focus on the ferelium, and ejaculate without even really being hard. I was doing this because of privacy issues, and was always in a hurry to get it done. I think this desensitized me.

                      I have been doing PE for 6 months now. I have had some good gains, but more importantly, My EQ has improved a great deal, and continues to do so. One indication is that some of my morning erections are not just hard. The sometimes now get so hard they are throbbing, almost to the point of pain. I haven't felt that since i was a teenager.

                      I would reccomend not to masturbate at all at this point, and refrain from ejaculation outside of sex with your partner. I have been doing tihs for a while and I think it helps. I never plan to masturbate ,or attempt to. The only time I ejaculate outside of sex is when I am edging, and an accident occurs. Even when Edging, I try not to ejaculate, but sometimes it happens.

                      I think once EQ is improved and your getting solid 9-10 EQ level, that ejacuation after edging at the conclusion of your PE routine is helpful (Big Al has mentioned this in several posts, and DLD also states that stretching after masturbation will yield better results also)

                      Anyway, sorry for the long response. Just stay positive, stick to the routine and process, and dont' worry about the results at this point. My guess is you will start to see improvement in 30 days, and will start to have some really strong EQ in 90 days if you stay consistent and stay clean on the porn thing...

                        Be hopeful, work with what you have.
                        Many of us older PE'rs are not going to always drum (or jerk) up that high percentage erection level. So to encourage you, I state the line about
                        "work with what you have".

                          I"m in the same situation as you OP, currently rebooting from porn, but I can hardly maintain a 40% erection for a few moments, then I drop down to 0%~10% rather fast so I feel like my sessions are useless. But I feel more engorged after my sessions. I think I'll cut out my length stretching days and just stick to my bundle stretch/ girth work split.

                            Dang KOH, how long have you been having EQ problems? Is because you cut out porn? Are you circumcised? Do you jerk frequently or with death grip? What do you attribute it to?

                              I dont think about anything sexual when I jelq. I start out completely flacid with stretches then move into jelqing and usually around the 40th jelq my penis is erect all by itself somewhere in the 80-85% range. I try not to mix the excercises with sex. I dont even think about getting an erection and it will just happen all on its own.
