Like the title says. I take zoloft, apparently, this combo can cause a heart attack. So, now Im only limited to l-argininge and fish oil..... What is something with a similar effect to ginkgo?

holy shit im glad i read this post because i take zoloft also and was about to buy some gingko this weekend, definitely do not want a heart attack, ill go with ginseng!

Have your doctors switch you to welbrutin less side effects and it wont cause ED. Friend do you have a link to establish the contraindication of ginkgo/zoloff?

Welbrutin will not cause ED. You all have a right to an erection for Gods sake and don't take no for an answer. You have reproductive rights you know. It seems that western medicine is bent on causing more illness than cure it. Im really getting sick of it to.

I think Kp should compile a list of supplements with a list of RX drugs they conflict with just to the right and make it a sticky since he's the nutrition guru. There's tons of supplements recommended on these forums,with only their benefits mentioned . Kp I would like to see this done by weeks end . Thank you

What is the "effect" you are trying to achieve?

With the huge list of potential side effects that most pharmaceuticals have, that would be a long list indeed.

If you're on meds it would be best to consult with your doc to see if any supplements you're considering taking would cause problems.

I know this you don'r want to mix drugs and herbs w/o the advice of a physician. I take a lot of herbs but i am drug free. Ginkgo does not work well with other anti aggragants (blood thinners) It will disable your epeleptic medications. You don't want to take it if you have cushings disease because ginkgo is a cortisol blocker.

Here is a partial list.

Digitalis dont take hawthorn.
Ginkgo dont take with coumadin, heperin, anti siezure meds,diabetic medications.
Zoloff or any other mind drug dont take the amino acid tyrosine.
Blood pressure meds and viagra is a no no.
Grapefruit and any blood pressure meds don't go to gether.

You should be drug free befiore you take any herbs/supplements unless your doctor says you can take that herb/supplement.
