  • Warming up prior to jelqing ruins my erection

    I'm starting to become a big believer when it comes to the benefits of heat in the PE world. I think it's mandatory for everyone to heat up as much as possible before stretching routines - not only does it help prevent injury, but it also helps you get a better stretch.

    I usually split up my routine - stretching in the AM and jelqing in the PM. But I notice that when I warm up prior to my jelqing routine, my erection quality is not that good. I believe that a 70-85% erection is needed to get any benefit from jelqing (I dry jelq by the way) and I find it hard to maintain that high of an erection percentage if I warm up prior to jelqing.

    Other people on other forums have this problem as well and, as a result, they skip the warm up.

    Is this a good idea? Is it another sign of me being an annomally in the PE world?

    I never warm up before Jelqing only on stretching and hanging. When I Jelq I am 100% flaccid instead of 60-70% erect. I for myself have found that I have almost doubled in girth since July of last year.

      Dust,

      You jelq 100 percent flaccid? What is your erection level like? Here is a good scale:

      15 percent and less = turtle turtle
      16 - 35 percent = normal flaccid
      36 - 55 percent = a little more plump than normal
      56 - 75 percent = a very good pump (in between erect and flaccid)
      75 - 95 percent = a nearly erect penis (is typically the size of an erect penis, but not hard)
      96-100 percent = wam, bam, thank you mam -- I'm erect.

        I sometimes experienced the same thing when I used a lot of heat (probably too much) with my moist heating pad. What I did was jelq after I stretched. The stretch typically gave me enough penis to work with, and after a while I would be up to 56-80 percent erection level (based on the scale above).

          I have never had any trouble keeping an erection at 100%, matter of fact, I have a longer staying power now then I have had in years, do to the Jelqing.

            Dust,

            Yea the jelqing has that effect. It is a great one too! PE truly is a healthy endevaur. What other side effects have you had?


            Also, let me reword my original question:
            What is your erection level (based on the scale above) when jelqing?

              If I had the put it on scale it would be 16-35 percent flaccid. I don't know if you would call this a problem, My flaccid length is now as long as my erection length use to be.

                    My answer isn't a definite, but conventional wisdom tells us that lower erection levels (around normal flaccid size, or a bit more) is best for length because it allows more of a "stretch" when jelqing.

                      Dustpan: I find it really interesting how you jelq at such a low erection percentage level, but you gain girth from doing so. Many, including myself, believe that a higher erection level is needed for girth (as low levels tend to focus on length). Maybe I'm wrong.

                        Dustpan: Also, how do you stay so flaccid when jelqing. Jelqing usually gets me pretty erect and I have to wait for a minute or two for the erection to subside before I continue. How do you do it?

                          Hi Quik,

                          I think its because I am older and don't get erections as easy anymore. I do have strong hard erections when I have sex with my wife. I also still get morning hard ons until pee.

                              You know, a "shower" has never really been termed. So I guess we should term it then.

                              From here on out, at the gym, a shower is a man with a flaccid length 50 percent of his erection length, or more.

                              So Dust I believe you are a shower, if I'm not mistaken.
