In the past I used a hot waschcloth for my warmup. It worked well, but it was a pain... water gets everywhere. I'm going to use a rice sock when I start up again and I was wondering: How long should I heat it up? Also, how often do you re-heat it?
I know it's going to vary some from person to person, I'd just like to get a ballpark figure of what to expect. Appreciate it

In the morning when I first heat, I heat for 1.05. When it gets too cool, I reheat for .40
You just have to experiment.

I typically heat for about 5 minutes. When I first started PE, I did a full 15 minute heat up but because of my length of time invested in this process and my dick's response to the stimulus, I only doing a 5 minute warmup.

Be careful with a rice sock. It's very easy to burn yourself.

Mr. Sneakypants greatly prefers the rice sock to the hot washcloth. The washcloth has to be re-heated after just a minute. The rice sock, on the other hand, can go for about 10 minutes. It's also much easier to guage when your junk is heated, because your hands aren't wet.
The washcloth does have one advantage, however. You can do it in the bathroom/shower without needing a microwave- a real concern if you lack privacy outside the bathroom.Starting (10/21/2009)

Mr. JonPop likes the rice sock also. He still recommends moist heat to those just starting out with PE. But like Mr. Sneakypants, found the rice sock to be ideal, while working at the computer. After heating and workout, Mr. JonPop still warms down with a hot washcloth.

I use a hybrid between the rice-sock and the hot washcloth. I noticed that the dry heat from the rice-sock was desensitizing my tool, so i tried the following:
1. I microwave my rice-sock until its a little hotter than what you would want your tool to withstand.
2. I heat the washcloth so its right near the temperature for your tool.
3. I proceed to put on the washcloth along my shaft (I unsheath the shaft from my foreskin; I am uncut).
4. Then I surround my washcloth with the heated rice-sock.
This not only avoids dry heat, but also significantly increases the time interval between consecutive reheats of the rice-sock. Obviously, this will still cool faster than the rice-sock but then 10 minutes has now be reduced to 7.
On a small note in performance: I still advocate using the rice-sock, I think it does a far better job heating the unit. I can easily sense the heat radiating from unit after 20 minutes of warming-up.
Now if only I could get me one of those IR lamps...
