Recently, i have just been using baby oil as lube is quite pricey, but is baby oil suffice or are there any other kinds of lubricants/oils that are just as effective? Is water based lube, although pricey, the best to use?

What are you using it for? Jelqing?
(Late 1999): 6" BPEL x 5.25" MSEG
(Early 2001): 7" BPEL x 5.75"MSEG (mostly Hanging/Jelqing)
Aug 16th 2015: 7.375" BPEL x 6" MSEG
Goal: I have retired from PE - So my goal is just maintaining.

Yes, mate. I always jelq and stretch using mild baby oil.

Same answer I always give - generic store brand named water based personal lubricant. Guys here spend a ton of money on shit here for their precious toy. I am after three things, something that works, something that cleans up easy, and something that is cheap!!!

Walmart sells some really cheap off brand water based lube, but you'll need a cup of water next to you to revive it constantly.

I like using cocoa butter and you can get that there in a lot of places. It is easy to use and easy to remove and it leaves your hands smelling like chocolate
