You make and excellent point in your post. I have certainly made enough fun of the govt. over research on cow flatulence and burping. Thirty million of your tax dollars were spent on this to see the amount of methane contributed to the atmosphere.
On the other hand, in addition to five fingers, if we can spend this amount on Cow's farting, why not a couple million for penis research. Maybe that is why Harry 'Pinky' Reid D-Nev is such a little schmuck, he has a little schmuck.Start 2009/06/24 bpel 5.5 eg 4.75

From WebMD's Expert Louanne Cole Weston:
Jelqers may believe that the technique works, but they are mistaken about how. You may hear that by pushing blood into the erectile tissue of the penis, you can expand the chambers -- the corpora cavernosa -- so they eventually hold more blood, resulting in bigger erections. You may also hear that jelqing exercises the smooth muscle of the penis, making it bigger and stronger.
"I think that's all bogus," says Tom Lue, MD, professor of urology at the University of California, San Francisco. He says that only swelling, caused by bleeding under the skin, could explain the increases in penis size men like Thomas experience. This result would not be permanent, hence the need to follow a rigorous jelqing regimen indefinitely. The idea that the smooth muscle of the penis can be exercised , like the biceps, is a myth. "Smooth muscle doesn't respond that way," Lue says. In fact, stretching it can be harmful. For example, the bladder is smooth muscle. According to Lue, if you hold in urine so that the bladder expands too much, the tissue weakens. What's more, Lue says, all the stretching, pulling, and squeezing might cause scar tissue to form in the penis, which could hinder a man's ability to get an erection.
But Thomas maintains that apart from a little soreness, he hasn't injured his penis by jelqing, and he says his erections last longer than they did before. "Anatomically and physiologically this is just wishful thinking," urologist Ira Sharlip, president of the Sexual Medicine Society of North America, writes in an email. "It's all baloney until a real study with objective before and after measurements, verified by an independent source [since you can't do a placebo comparison], proves that it works."
and Dr. Marks agrees.

I think doctors do not want to accept responsibility for smth new. I've discussed possible enlargement with my urologist and he strongly recommended me to skip this idea as it doesn't worth time. Doctors are always concern, but it is always good to have head on shoulders.

Notice the red herrings here. There's no mention of expanding the tunica or ligament stretching. This Dr. Lue takes guesses and even compares the penis to the bladder- two totally different structures. There's also the obligatory alarmism thrown in for good measure.
"It's all baloney..." Yet thousands of men have done it without the benefit of a University sponsored study. There's even physiological laws that support the "theory" of PE, but none of these doctors mention that.Want One FREE Month of Coaching? PM or email me for details- or CLICK HERE

doctors will always be the last people to support new ideas
because they do not want to be sued if they are wrong
plus they can get blackballed by peopled in their field
they will not support anything until we get some REAL studies
something done by respected researchers or universities
and then published in respected journals and web sites like PUBMED.COM and the such
hopefully some day we will see studies like this
at this point does anyone know of any studies like these ?
ps they need to be randomized double blind placebo controlled studies preferably by a university
what do you guys think???
if a university did a study and it were published in a journal
i guarantee jay leno would be talking about it in his monolog
he loves telling aboud any studies regarding mans sexuality
i remenber he refered to one that says men that masterbate more often live longer lol

Pubmed has already published studies relating to nonsurgical PE (via extenders), and none of the talk show hosts, popular main stream outlets, etc. have covered it.
How would you conduct a double blind study for PE? Surely the party(ies) in question will know if they're doing PE or not
Men well past puberty with normal testosterone levels and no mitigating factors can preestablish their measurements, get on a PE program, then measure the results. Any net gain would have to be attributed to the new variable- in this case, PE. A third party of sufficient repute (there are many companies that specialize in conducting trials/studies) can be there when the measuring is done to establish veracity. All of this is really just fluff though- either your penis grows or it doesn't. Some medical professional have gone so low as to attribute any growth from PE as "possibly" [notice the uncertainty] being caused by swelling or scar tissue
Someone can try to explain away the growth had from PE as anything but actual expansion of the penile tissues, but those of us that have been doing PE for years know better.Want One FREE Month of Coaching? PM or email me for details- or CLICK HERE

This topic was beaten to death over at Betterman so let's do a short recap.
The doctor does not care about your healthy penis as long as it's healthy!
The doctor, like most people on the street, don't think you can make you dick bigger!
No studies have been done on how to make your dick bigger beacuse of ;
)the large amount of variables
)getting enough men in a certain controlled enviroment to study
)the larger amount of money needed to fund such a study
) the stupidity of spending money on research for a healthy body part! ( maybe we can take the money from stupid research like cancer or heart disease)
IF YOU REALLY NEED A DOCTOR TO TELL YOU THAT PE WORKS THAN YOU REALLY SHOULDN'T BE HERE BUT IF YOU GO AND ASK YOUR MOMMY MAYBE SHE'LL TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR!
