  • Spotting the Kegel

    So I think I'm one of those people who learned to control these muscles early on and took it for granted. I never consciously (until today) trained them however.

    Since my early teens I've had painful flatulence (that is painful because I'm holding it in all day) which led me to strain a lot day to day to avoid farting in class, etc.
    Especially in my early teens ~12-14 I would often get erections in class or, even more awkward, while car pooling.
    I believe these things led me respectively to Kegel and to reverse-kegel subconsciously.

    But right now I'm unsure whether I really have the correct muscles under control. I constantly read about using the urination method to come to terms with the Kegel muscle, but I can see a more interesting alternative to this: get an erection and use the Kegel muscles to make the penis bounce up and down (the penis will become stiff and stand to attention when straining, then flop back down slightly when relaxing). So, is this indeed a function of the Kegel muscle or am I deluded? In addition, is this something certain people have trouble doing? because I have been able to do this as far as I can remember, ever since I could get an erection.

    Yes, that is the correct muscle, but erect kegels are advanced and should not be attempted by beginners, you can over train your PC muscle just like any other skeletal muscle in your body, so be careful.
