    Is it better after the routine to use cold or hot water for warm/cool down?

    I would suggest wsrm water instead of cool water. Although some people suggest using cold water after very intense routines or sessions with injurys.

    If you were to use a cold cool-down, then you would be causing vasoconstriction- which would shrink your veins and cause a decrease in blood flow to the region. This is good from athletes as it suppresses inflammation, but for penile tissue regeneration- it is not optimal.

    Warm-down is good as it will help relax the tissue and will not cause any vasoconstriction. Some guys do nothing afterwards and swear by it, it is just personal preference. I enjoy a nice warm rice sock after a good session; helps me relax and feels good!

    Warm down usually causes turtling when I warmed down.

    I get a totally different effect from cooling down my penis stays long. You keep your penis stretched for the duration of 2-3 minutes while cooling down-

    There's some debate on this, but I agree with PatheticMedic.

    With tissue like ligaments and tendons, especially injuries, cold is used to reduce swelling and inflammation. Warmth is used to keep the tissue flexible and pliable, so no further damage or discomfort occurs due to tightening.

    Being that we want engorgement, pliability, and healing in an extended state, I've always followed the warm down notion.

    But, to each their own. As long as it works, it's good to use. Personal experience and choice.
