  • Is this overtraining?

    Hey,

I tried using the search bar to answer my questions but I wasn't completely satisfied with the results. I'm new here so I apologize for any lack of knowledge. For the past 2 months or so I've been doing no pmo to try and regain sensitivity. Progress has been pretty up and down - definite net gain however. Recently, I've been trying to include some pes to help increase my progress. Every other day for these last two weeks I've been doing 10 sets of 5 kegels/reverse kegels held for 5 seconds each. I thought this would be enough rest for my muscles to recover but I feel a huge decrease in eq. For example, whenever I get horny my penis only gets to roughly 60% erect. I can't stimulate it to 100% even after watching porn (something I did to see if my issue was related to overtraining). My penis is also a lot smaller and rigid in its flaccid state. If I'm correct, all these things point to overtraining.

My question now is what can I do? I'm planning on trying to "rewire" with a girl within the next 2 weeks but won't be able to if kegels are destroying my eq. Should I stop them completely? Or is there anyway I can modify them for someone who is as extra sensitive as I am?

    Don't miss this thread!!!

Yes, I think you are over training your pelvic floor with too many kegels.

Limit your kegel sessions to no more than 25 reps, and make them short holds of 1 or 2 seconds long only. You can do two or three sessions a day, according to your PIs, but in the beginning, it is advised to do less than more.

As for PMO, progress may take time, your brain needs to reboot from porn dependance to normal arousal mode, so please be patient, and do not test it, you are only adding to your anxiety and making it take longer to forget about porn.

And if you haven't already done so, check the links on the navigation bar at the top of the page especially the START HERE Thread and focus on safety, you only have one penis, take good care of it.

Pick one of the manual beginner routines and follow it for at least 90 days to condition your penis, or until you stop gaining. Most members here choose JP90, it is an intense routine, start slow, and build up to the full routine over a few weeks time, jelq with an erection level between 45% and 65% using a moderate grip, just enough to move blood up the shaft and to the glans.

Pay attention to your PIs, your penis is trying to tell you if you are over working, or you are in the growth zone, aim for positive PIs, and steer away from the negative ones.
