Its been a while since i have been here, and its good to be back!
My first question, is the bpfsl a good indicator of what your bpel may reach?
next, how much pressure on the "OK" jelqs should i apply?
and finally, is there any new knowledge i should focus on?
I just thought i would wind it right back to the basics so i can properly commit to a new routine and post some gains to strengthen this community.
as always, any feedback is much appreciated.
cheers guys

Welcome back daaking.
I've never measured BPFSL. I don't think it would be a great indicator of potential BPEL because when the penis expands to full erection it expands in width, which can somewhat reduce the potential length expansion, as well as length. When stretching the flaccid penis the amount of blood is reduced so there is not width expansion to limit length.
If you are trying to hold in the blood and build pressure (for jelqing, Uli's, other squeezes), the OK grip should be held as tightly as possible.
The knowledge you focus on depends on your goals and your personal choice of mean to meet those goals. You should learn as much as possible, select your routine and learn as much as you can about the exercises involve.
I will you good luck with your PE pursuits.(Late 1999): 6" BPEL x 5.25" MSEG
(Early 2001): 7" BPEL x 5.75"MSEG (mostly Hanging/Jelqing)
Aug 16th 2015: 7.375" BPEL x 6" MSEG
Goal: I have retired from PE - So my goal is just maintaining.

Welcome back Daaking. Since you have been away for awhile I would recommend a beginners routine. Start with about half of JP90 and then slowly add to intensity, and time as you condition more and more.
When jelqing only be about 1/2 erect, use a light grip like smoothing but not breaking warm butter. Stretches should start not too hard and about 20-30 second hold until you condition for more.
For me there has been a correlation between BPFSL, but it is not anywhere near one to one. The correlation is that my BPFSL usually goes up before my BPEL goes up. Others differ. It is what makes this so special, we are all different. Find what works best for you. Follow your PIs. Enjoy your journey.ALL THE WAY WITH GOOD OLE JAY!

so you believe that using a really tight OK grip should be applied for jelqing? i am mainly aiming for length at the moment and i usually feel the slight tingle sensation right at the tip of the head when i get a slow and pre kegelled jelq using the steady and gentle style jelq.

Welcome back!
You have been given a lot of great advice from the above members. The JP90 is a great way to go when returning to PE.
I'm not sure that a tingling sensation is a good sign. I would loosen you grip some so that you only feel a light pressure and expantion. It's better to be safe than sorry. If your goal is length then make sure you are jelqing at a lower erection level of around 30 - 50 %. Higher levels are for girth.
Good luck and always PE safely. To totally satisfy a woman sexually is not about having a large penis, it's about being a good lover.

It does not need to be real tight. Just tight enough that you are pushing a bulge forward or in other words to keep the blood in front of your stroke up.

thanks for the reply gentlemen, it all helps.
when i say tingling sensation, i mean i can feel the blood pool up in my glans for a moment its not a bad sensation.
i have been careful of using too much jelq grip pressure as it seems to disturb the veins on my shaft, as i have a very veiny looking until and i can most certainly remember the feeling of having a bruised type sensation going on around the major vein on the left side of my shaft. so maybe i need to find a happy medium where i can retain safety and comfort while getting that bulge you mentioned

Think of it as a firm grip, not a death grip and you should be good to go.
