Thread: Question about L-Arginine

Hi all,
First of all, I'm new here and would like to say hello. I have just one question.
I am doing JP90 at the moment followed by an hour in an extender, then an hour break, another hour in an extender, an hour break, then another hour in the extender again. I do this Monday to Friday then have Saturday and Sunday off. My question is: I take L-Arginine every day when I wake up on an empty stomach. But how much should I have? I am currently at 2000mg. Should I take more? I am 25 years old, active, 5 feet 8 inches and 170lbs, muscular with very little fat, if that helps.

Take as much as you want or can afford. I take 2g in the morning then 4g before workout then another 2g before bed. I don't think you can over dose on it.

I ordered some L-arginine but not sure how much should I take it?
I'm thinking of 1000-1500 mg a day.Start: 8/2013: BPEL: 6.3" EG: 5.1"
Current: 9/2020 BPEL: (8.3 inches BPFSL: 8.9 "* MEG: 5.9
The Goal: BPEL: 9 inches EG: 6.5"

I have been taking L-Arginine for years at much higher doses than he is asking about. I'm no doctor but I know that it's an essential amino acid that the body need to consume to produce proteins that form bodily tissues. And since an adult male can easily handle 200g of proteine per day I'm pretty sure 10g of L-Arginine is ok.
So im assuming I must be talking to a urologist since I see your always giving people advise on their Penesis?

I don't know how much would be beneficial to PE but I take about 4g before I go to the gym and get a great pump. If your not a gym rat I would just try 2g in the morning and 2g before bed. Supposedly taking it before bed gives you a boost in your GH and taking it in the morning should help with vassal dilation. Just always take it on an empty stomach.

I read that it is supposed to be taken with meals. I guess it is related to more higher doses.
Side Effect #1: I do not advise taking more than 2-3 g of L-Arginine per day. Arginine can be converted in the body to Nitric Oxide, which is a good thing, or to a second amino acid, L-Ornithine. Unfortunately, L-Ornithine can help cancerous tumors grow. In addition, L-Arginine can increase body ammonium levels which could potentially lead to increased Herpes outbreaks. Again, play it safe and stick to L-Arginine levels that would be approximated by a reasonable diet, i.e. 2-3 g/day. NOTE: Arginine can also boost the immune system because it stimulates the thymus, a gland in your upper chest that pumps out an important leukocyte for immunity.Start: 8/2013: BPEL: 6.3" EG: 5.1"

I have found that the vasodilation properties are blunted if I take it with food. I get much better pumps at the gym if I take it on an empty stomach 45min before I work out. I also take it on an empty stomach about an hour before I know I'm getting layed. I don't have ED so Im not sure how much it helps but it can't hurt.
