  • How long should I rest for and what can I do meanwhile?

TLDR: Look at 1-4. Are these exercises/methods wise to do during a 1-2 month rest period from anything PE related. I don't have any exercise-related injuries, however, I have found myself highly benefiting from just taking a big rest from porn and masturbation (which is the cause of some of my issues).

    Long version

So, this isn't the standard 'how long should I rest for after hurting myself during PE' thread because I haven't really started any routines yet. On the contrary, I came to this forum due to several problems which I realized later were mostly due to bad habits and overworking myself while watching porn. Due to this, I stopped watching porn and masturbating for 31 days. This rest period fixed probably, 70% of my problems. The issue, however, is... It fixed them. To be specific, I got my arousal back, which instantly caused me to fail my no porn streak. Likewise, I found myself getting better quality erections which again, made me want to test it out with a lot of porn and bad masturbation habits.

I'm not exactly back to square 1, however, I went from 70% cured to more like 30-40% now. I know no one can really tell me how long I should aim for in terms of resting since only my body can say say that. Based on all this though, does aiming for another month of no porn and no masturbation sound realistic enough to let my body rest and heal up before I attempt any beginner routines? Or would 2 months (or more) sound better? Again, I'm not really expecting someone to be able to tell me 'you'll be perfectly fine in X months' since only my positive PI's can tell me how well I am doing. Instead, I guess I am just roughly looking for a number to aim for so that I have some sort of realistic target.

Also, can I do anything while I am letting myself heal? I really have no idea what parts of me are 'damaged' and why exactly no porn or no masturbation is helping. Perhaps this is entirely psychological (caused by the porn), perhaps physical due to extremely poor masturbation habits (such as edging for hours with no rest and involuntarily kegeling). Perhaps a mix of both. All I know is I do suffer from a tight/imbalanced pelvic floor. Based on this, do you guys think that it would be wise to do any of these things during my rest period from porn and masturbation:

    1. Yoga stretches to help with the pelvic floor.
    2. Reverse kegels to fix all the damage the involuntary kegels have cased.
    3. The basic penis stretch. I heard this has helped a lot of people with erection problems. (If this is fine, how often should I do this? Daily? Twice a day?)
    4. Using a heat pad to warm my muscles around my penis. (I assume this is fine regardless, however, I was hoping to learn how often I should be using the heat pad. Daily? Twice a day?)

The main thing I am looking to hear I suppose is, am I trying to push myself too much? I really want to do the things I outlined above ASAP, however, with what a positive effect nothing but rest has had on me, I am worried I am trying to push myself into doing something too much which will only end up ruining the positive effects of just letting my body heal on its own.

Okay, so from your post I gather you had EQ and IK issues?

The reduction in porn and over-masturbation habits is both physically and mentally beneficial. As you have seen. which yes, caused a bit of a relapse. But it's also a great sign that things are returning to normal. So, all in all, good things. I wouldn't look so much for a goal end date, as specifically track progress as it happens. That way you can follow the positive effect as you go along. If you set goals, make them short term, and somewhat easily achievable. Success brings more success.

Though you may be worried about reversing the positive effects with a routine, I don't think it's going to do that. In fact, I think it may just help.

Your mind and body are looking for something to replace the habit. So, give it something. PE instead of porn, and edge instead of masturbate. The blood flow, stretching, stamina work, and incorporating RKs will all help. It doesn't have to be an intense routine, just something to keep the mind (and hands) busy, while still making progress. And you can always just take more rest when needed.

    To answer your questions;
    1. Yoga stretches to help with the pelvic floor.
    Yes!

    2. Reverse kegels to fix all the damage the involuntary kegels have cased.
RKs are good to balance things out.

    3. The basic penis stretch. I heard this has helped a lot of people with erection problems. (If this is fine, how often should I do this? Daily? Twice a day?)
Try every other day for starters. Low intensity and time.

    4. Using a heat pad to warm my muscles around my penis. (I assume this is fine regardless, however, I was hoping to learn how often I should be using the heat pad. Daily? Twice a day?)
Daily is good. Keep away from the testes, and warm the shaft too.
Going an inch and 1/2 deeper than before

I agree with W4I. If you are goal oriented think about joining the AP-90 challenge. 90 days no porn would be a good start.
Edge without kegels so yournpenis learns a different way.
Start stretches as part of the JP90 and use jelqs also. If you keep kegels as part of a routine start with 75% reverse kegels to 25% kegels, but not during edging.
      Heat only the shaft.
      Good luck, enjoy.
ALL THE WAY WITH GOOD OLE JAY!

If there's EQ problems I'd do this on the rest-period:
          - Eat a lot of ginger and garlic
          - exercise big muscle groups to increase testosterone (and overall look) and EQ the time you otherwise would've spent on PE
          - Drink lots of water; helps with everything (a grown up man should drink about 2-3 liters water a day
          - Stop smoking
          - Get a girlfriend

          Good luck!

Got all of that sorted! Though I might just try increasing my water intake. Usually I think I do hit 2 liters, though worryingly, I do sometimes have the bad habit of forgetting to drink water despite my thirst if I am busy doing something really important.
