I have been doing manual PE consistently for 2 months now and I have a few questions and concerns:
- Does manual PE desensitize your penis in the long term? Is it likely that the constant traction applied from manual stretching, over time, will affect the nerve endings on the glans? And if so how can one counter this?
- I plan to keep doing manual PE forever and ever. Will I keep gaining or do I need to switch to devices? I am under the assumption that devices are just there for those who don't want to do the manual labor. Are devices more effective than manual PE? Can I keep gaining forever just from stretching, jelqing and kegels given that I stay consistent and keep increasing the intensity?
- If I happen to be eating under maintenance in order to reduce bodyfat% can this slow down my gains? Or on the other hand if I'm eating a lot in order to increase mass, will I gain more?
- Is there a traction device to wear when I'm sleeping? Can I wear an extender when asleep? People spend 7-8 hours a day asleep; surely all this time could be utilized better.
Please give me answers you are certain about, don't just answer for the answer's sake.
Also could you please provide links with progress accounts of people who have succeeded with manual PE only?
Thank you for your time.

Welcome aboard!
PE is completely safe if done correctly. Nerves will regenerate and grow along with your gains so there is no worry about desensitizing your penis. The key is doing it safely.

Over time gains will begin to slow, it is like the law of diminishing returns. There will be a time when you will need to work harder to see even small gains. This is what you save the advanced exercises for. When you hit a plateau you step it up a level for more gains.
Some people do use devices as a matter of convenience, such as extenders. Other devices, such as hanging are more intense and time consuming, but can be great help break plateaus and see further gains. There are a couple devices that claim to be safe to wear while sleeping. Personaly I don't advise doing it. I want to be able to monitor what is going on be aware of when it needs to be removed when necessary. You also have to consider that a man has several nocturnal erections during the night. I would be concerned about it would effect my penis and blood flow problems in a device. You only have one penis, so make an educated decision on if you would like to do this.
A good place to start is to do some reading in the START HERE! link that can be found at the top of the page. The JP90 is a great routine to start off with for most beginners. Start off slow and gradually increase over time.
There is a lot to learn, so use your time during the JP90 to further educate yourself. There is a wealth of information here, do plenty of reading and don't hesitate to ask questions.
The key to being successful is to be dedicated, consistent and patient. PE does work, but it won't happen overnight. The rewards for putting in the time and effort are well worth it in the end.
Good luck and always PE safely. To totally satisfy a woman sexually is not about having a large penis, it's about being a good lover.

Don't miss this thread!!!
If you haven't already done so, check the links on the navigation bar at the top of the page especially the START HERE Thread and focus on safety.
Pick one of the manual beginner routines and follow it for at least 90 days to condition your penis, or until you stop gaining. Start slow, and build up to the full routine over a few weeks time, jelq with an erection level between 45% and 65% using a moderate grip, just enough to move blood up the shaft and to the glans. Grip your penis below the glans when stretching and do not pull too hard, just enough to feel tension on your shaft.
PE will not desensitize your penis, but you can learn how to control your arousal better, so you enjoy the sensations and last longer.
Devices are not needed, you can keep gaining from manual exercises, the FAQs thread (link below) will guide you to exercises that you can add in the future IF the need arises. You will be surprised how a minor adjustment to your manual routine can respark the gains.
As long as you are eating healthy and getting in enough nutrition to your body, you are good.

Welcome to the gym Penisthetics!
Great advice above, pay close attention!
I remember reading somewhere that the nerves of the penis are slow growing, but they do grow, this is why it's important not to jump in at the deep end and go crazy, as injuring or permanently damaging yourself is possible. Slow steady progress is the way to gain safely!
Start a log in the progress forum, this will help you on your journey and others can help you too by writing down your experiences of you routine.

Welcome to the GYM, Penisthetics! Glad to have you with us!
You've asked some great questions, so here's my thoughts...
1) Never jelq over your glans (penis head) and don't apply excessive pressure to your frenulem and you should not desensitize your penis doing PE. That said, you will find with manual stimulation over a long period of time your full-on erections will become less spontaneous; meaning your brain will learn to interpret the difference between penis "exercise" and sexual arousal. That's a good thing! Your stamina will increase, you'll learn to control your ejaculations and you and your partner(s) will enjoy longer, more satisfying sex.
2) Everyone's different. Many guys have sustained growth with only manual exercises for years (with occasional plateaus) without ever using devices; just changing up exercises and intensity. Others are "hard gainers" that need extenders, hanging and pumps to stimulate growth. That said, most guys will at least gain some EQ and vascularity from initial newbie routines resulting in some, if not substantial gains the first year.
3) Again, everyone's different. A balanced diet is healthy, junk food is not; regular exercise is necessary to maintain a healthy body, while a sedentary lifestyle will increase fat. Some supplements have a beneficial effect for some members, others prefer to just eat healthy. I personally have found 1000mg L-arginine & 500mg L-citroline caps coupled with 20% icariin caps (Horny Goat Weed) help my blood flow and nitrous oxide levels and improve my libido, making my erections better and increases my desire for sex. Your mileage may vary.
4) Some guys have reported good growth with extenders worn many hours (must build up time slowly to avoid injury). Yes, after conditioning, some even sleep in extenders. I have never used any devices, so it's best to get specific feed back from guys who have.
You've already received good links for exercises, so I'll just remind you that PE is not a race, it's a marathon. PE SAFELY TO AVOID INJURY! Enjoy the journey!

Thanks everyone for your responses and I'll do my best to take your advice.
I realize I should take it easy and slow to avoid injury and other unpleasant effects.
My goal is to just gain about 1.2' in length and about 0.5' in girth doing only manual PE. I don't think that goal is unrealistic and I don't mind if it takes anywhere from 1-3 years, as long as I get there.
I guess I am still skeptical and worried though, just like everyone else that started out, that at one point I might realize that all the time and effort I've put in have got me nowhere. Or worse, they had detrimental effects.
