First of all, Hello Everyone! This site is GREAT! I look forward to really taking this seriously!
So, I think I've isolated my PC muscle, but I'm not convinced. Stopping and starting your urine stream is definitely the best advice I've heard on finding it (though I've read that if you do a lot WHILE urinating, it's bad for you. Something about backing up toxins, or something). However, I'm not sure I'm replicating the action correctly outside of the bathroom.
When I flex I feel a tightness in my butt and lower abdomen, and my testicles raise. So, I think it's right, but I feel I'm flexing the wrong area since I feel a tenseness in other areas.
Also, if this IS the correct, am I doing these exercises correctly if this is what I'm feeling?
Should I tense, release, tense, release, tense, release the 50 times recommended, or should I tense for a 50 count?
