I'm not sure about anyone else, but my penis isn't a perfect cylinder. More of a rounded triangle in cross section, with the corpus spongiosum forming the point of the triangle.
When measuring girth, do you worry too much about getting the measuring tape into every curve or do you just loosely fit it around your penis and take the measurement?

Pegasus' advice is very good, but if you insist on accuracy, I would suggest using a piece of string to wrap around your penis, then straighten it out on a ruler to see length.

NBPEL: 5 Inches
EG: 5.0 Inches (Base) 4.5 Inches (Shaft)
FL: 2 Inches for most of the day
EQ: 9-10
