  • Pain during Jelqing

Hello everybody. I have a question.

I know everyone will tell me that if it hurts during your PE (jelqing) session, you should stop. Got it.

But what I am wondering is what kind of pain you feel when you are jelqing. A few times I have gripped a little too hard and felt a sharp pain on the dorsum of my penis, a little more than halfway up the shaft, but this was a surface pain, probably in the tunica if not outside of it, possibly involving the superior dorsal vein. I kept up with my jelqs with a lighter grip and my PI's were fine. I should mention that I only really feel this pain when I speed up the jelqs. When I go slow like KP suggests, it always goes well.

The problem is that there is very little difference with me between not strong enough, just right, and too much with regards to grip strength. Am I overdoing it? Sorry. I just feel like I need a clearer description of what you should feel when you jelq, as a beginner. All of the jelqing videos out there show someone choking the hell out of his penis. This makes the newbie feel like he should at least apply a somewhat similar amount of pressure, or else he's wasting his time! How hard should I jelq, and how long should I wait before ramping up the pressure?

So I'm wondering: anybody who has ever felt any pain from jelqing, where was the pain and what kind of pain was it?

I presently do about 60 wet jelqs, only 50 of which are probably really effective. My erection is between 50% and 80%, but I have trouble gauging that, too.

Sorry for my stupid questions, buddies.

    Thanks!

That is not a stupid question. Te men on the videos are seasoned vets and to them the grip they use is rather pleasurable. Te grip I se may harm you. Bt to me it feels good. So, keep it in the feel good range. You may want to switch over to "V" jelqs. With this type of jelq you miss the Dorsal vein.

Thanks so much, KP! I can always count on KP.

Do you think V-jelqs give as good engorgement as OK-grips?

      Thanks again!

In my case, I find so far that the V-jelqs gives me larger engorgement than the OK-grip. For the next two weeks i'll only do V-jelqs and see if it makes any difference.

Just a quick question, when you are doing V-Jelqs the V goes on the underside of your penis right? So that when you jelq your penis is pointing in the direction of your belly button.

You are describing the "U" grip jelq, which is good to do if your glans dont seem to inflate that well. Also good if you have a downward curve. This grip may help straiten it. Also a good girth and length exercise. Do it about 60% erect. When you become more conditioned you can do it at above 70% for erect girth gains.

I still recommend that you do the "V" Jelq with no more than 30% erection. This is a combination Jelq/stretch, exercise.

Yes I do the "V" jelq at about 30-40%. seems to lose effectiveness at a higher erection level. But I wonder is my "U" grip the same as your "V" jelq?

C, good to here from you. I to have experienced the sharp pain you described, I don't know exactly what it is and have seen no signs of injury, but it is caused by one of the three reasons or a combination of both.
                      1. If you have greater than 60% erection level.
                      2. Jelq stroke too fast.
                      3. Jelq stroke too tight.
The intensity needed for your unit will be different than anyone else, make sure you are doing the complete jelq and go by the feel of your unit instead of how it may look compaired to a seasoned vet. Also gauging your progress by you EQ and morning wood will be useful tool in deciding when to increase time, level or intensity.

C, how do you rank where you are at so far with EQ and morning wood as compaired to when you first started? You can use this answer as a guide to know if you need to increase intensity or stay the same.

Hmmm, thinking about it, I remember I experienced something similar a month ago when jelqing. A sharp pain that was on the upper part of my shaft on the right side and had been there a few days but only when jelqing. I found out it was my jelqing tecnique, I didn't grip to tight around the base, but when i jelqued with my left hand i found that i pressed my index finger a little to hard and rubbed the same spot over and over again, creating the pain.

I agree with your reasoning. It has usually been due to one of those three reasons, or a combination of them.

The pain doesn't seem to be anything serious, but I don't like it and the more often it happens the more bothersome it gets.

My EQ has been increasing pretty steadily since I started jelqing. Night-wood comes and goes -- sometimes really strong and sometimes not there at all -- so I pay more attention to EQ. For a few days my EQ seemed to go down a little bit, but that could have been other factors. I think I may be pushing the upper limits regarding jelq-force, so I'll just try and take it easy. I seem to unconsciously go too hard sometimes.

                          Thanks again, guys!

not enough lube could also be a cause.
not properly warming up and stretching.

I used to make a mistake by jelqing my glans as well, unfortunately my glans still hurt from time to time even when I am not jelqing, how much time would you recommend me to take off?
