    I'm still developing my jelqing technique (I'm a newbie) although I haven't noticed the first two points you made the last two are in my opinion very important.
    Although for a newbie it is hard to judge how much pressure is too much. I hope you can develop on that so that newbies have more information.

      Thank you very much Cernunnos that post really helped!!
      I think I may have been jelqing with too much pressure maybe that's why my penis turtles after my workout (check my log - https://www.pegym.com/forums/progres...ana-s-log.html). In the beginning when I jelqed as soon as I finished one rep I would take the hand of the penis, now I leave it behind the glans and start to jelq with the other hand and when I'm about halfway of the shaft I release the hand that's on the glans so that really creates expansion.
      I'm going to try jelqing lighter and see how that works.

          I must add that another thing that really confuses me is the correct erection level. Judging erection levels by percentage is really hard for me. And what is the recommended percentage anyway?

            Good post, I too am probably squeezing to much, my erection level is 60 to 80%, after the workout and cool down I tend to lose my gains quickly, turtle like banana said.

              Ok just finished my PE session and this time I used a lower erection level and a lighter grip. I think the session was great I'm getting the hang of it. Afterwards had a big full hang.
              What I think that kills my hang is the cool down. I think maybe my penis is more sensitive to cold than others.

                This is the warmup I have been doing over the past few weeks and am very happy with it. I warmup for only 10 minutes now and it feels like 15 minutes compared to my old way. I found an insulated 32 Oz cup that works very well, it has enough volume of water to retain the heat and accommodate my unit as well. I also have been using my shower for my cool down.

                  I agree that taking a dump before is good. I have to do this and can tell a difference with the muscles holding it in are more relaxed. I just started using a jeld device and you want to talk about being careful with pressure man do I have to be careful, and I mean really careful.

                    Wow, I am really confused now. I'm probably doing jelqs really badly.

                    I get an erection thats about 75%. Then, I make an OK grip at the base of my penis and I squeeze so that blood fills up my Corpus Cavernosums (CC). My shaft is then engorged and I push the blood up to the head. I stop before I reach the head. I think I'm using too much pressure though. So all I have to do, is use less pressure and get less erected?

                    The thing is, with jelqs, it's a lot like masturbation, it stimulates my penis. I get hard. But I'm gonna try hard. Too bad that tomorrow is my day off from PE.

                    Also: cooldown, that means I have to use cold? I thought the cool down was with heat after an exercise.

                      Hey radio I always use heat to warm down, some people do use cool to cool down but I never have, guess it depends on which you like. Sounds like you are jelqing right but useing a little less pressure helps more and causes less injuries this way to.

                        My recommendation for Jelqing is:
                        (Now take this as advice from a very long time PE'er. I have been doing the "Rub and Tug" for over 5 1/2 years and I'll tell you what I have found out in this time.)

                        Wet Jelq: 30-60% erection level. Just erected enough to move the blood from as close to the pelvic bone to just under the glans. Hold the bulge for 3-4 seconds to keep the glans expanded and without releasing, start the second hand up. Release the first hand at the top when half way up with the second hand. Do this slowly, about for the quick count of 5. Only squeeze hard enough to trap the blood and move it up the shaft.
                        This degree of erection will prevent burst capillaries, bruising and thrombosed veins.

                          Also the direction of the Jelq will produce different results. When I Jelq straight out I tend to have more erection level (40-60%) so this would basiclly help with girth more than length When I Jelq straight up my erection level is lower(20-40%), this would help with length and possibly Glans enlargment.

                            Hey guys, well I have been jelqing for a couple of months now usually at really high erection levels. I do however lower the intensity of the actual exercise by using the right hand exclusively (in order to fix curvature and decrease the intensity of the jelq). I move up the shaft from the base relatively quickly (2 seconds) with the right, stop short of the glans, and then go back again. I have not injured myself this way and it has helped a lot with the size of my glans which is clearly bigger than the shaft about 0.2-0.4 difference in girth. It has helped me gain some length and girth (less noticeable than growth of the glans).

                            If I do want to increase intensity, I just do the jelqs slower (5 seconds maximum). I don't do jelqs with a very hard grip because my penis is extremely veiny and they have become more prominent ever since I started pe.

                            I think people should decrease intensity unless they have plateaued. Once again the less is more philosophy at work. Let me know what you guys think of this. Thanks!

                              Back off on the erection levels. Do the Jelqs correctly with both hands. You will see those gains you are looking for.
