Hi guys,
First of all thanks for taking the time to read my post. I've heard a lot of good things about how helpful this forum can be.
My issue has been erectile dysfunction for a couple of years now. I normally lose my erection very quickly and find sex quite a struggle. This is not anxiety related at all. I can keep my erection if I constantly stroke my penis before penetration. It's just not losing the erection before penetration that is very difficult.
I have been to a urologist and he performed ultrasound and the doppler test. I had an erection for about 25 mins and the doctor said there was no shunt and the velocities were good. My hormones are all fine too. Something, I believe, physiologically has changed however since when I wake up my morning erections deflate quickly. I remember they used to last until I'd push my penis down to pee. Or after ejaculation my penis would stay rock-hard for a few minutes but now it dies super quickly.
I'm baffled. I'm healthy in my late 20s, exercise, quit porn 6 months ago. I've tried sex with a few girls and it's the same issue. Although the doctor said this is not a leak I'm still skeptical. Any guidance would be most appreciated.Last edited by Palasht321; 07-12-2017 at 03:16 PM.

Do you have a history of pre-E? Do you watch PORN? PORN Induced ED is rampant in your age group, unfortunately. Masturbating to PORN teaches your brain to seek adrenaline & dopamine release ASAP, which obviously when done from early adolescence, can lead to sexual dysfunctions to varying degrees. More info is needed than just medical diagnosis. You're young & healthy, so a venous leak is highly unlikely.

Hey Palasht!
Welcome to the Gym
Sorry to tell you that if you can maintain an erection even requiring stimulation and wake up with morning wood, even for a short time, you do not have venous leak. These situations do not occur if you have venous leak. Your urologist also confirmed this.
On a positive note, many guys have found that Jelqing had helped improve erection quality. It would be a good idea to click on the Start Here button at the top left of the page. Your penis has a comfortable relationship with your hand.
It has a panic attack when your hand deserts it and your poor penis is having 2nd thoughts about where it is going to be poked into. Dark moist opening on another body; no fingers !
You, and your anxiety troubled penis, need to develop a new way of getting excited, 'sans fingers'.
It takes time and patience, and had better involve your partner. It can be done, and sometimes the longer you both spend doing this, the better.
Thanks for the introduction, andValued Member of 10 years at the PEGym

Have you taken the very likely psychological effect into consideration? Many fail to connect or accept the fact that the mind plays a huge role in potency. Assuming the issue will go away with time while there's still stress/anxiety isn't realistic.

Thanks for your responses and your support. My issue is not anxiety related. My partner is very understanding and I feel very relaxed.
Also I was never a big porn user. Maybe once a week. But I'll continue with nofap.
Could someone explain why in the past I'd get morning erections that lasted a long time whereas now they die fast? Is it a vascular change? Or could it be a nitric oxide deficiency of sorts?
I've heard that a combination of pycnogenol and l-arginine could improve EQ.
Also jelging was recommended. Doesn't this exercise condition the brain more to achieve erections in a particular way? Many thanks again.Last edited by Palasht321; 07-13-2017 at 10:05 PM.

What were the numbers in the hormone test? Never settle for being told normal
- 07-14-2017 #8
Lifestyle changes (usu. diet and exercise) as one ages and stress can contribute to a decline in erectile activity. Extreme, chronic stress can lower dopamine levels to the point to where ED sets in even with no anomalies within the penis itself or even anxiety.
Jelqing can "train" the penis to become erect if performed properly.
Are there scenarios where you can maintain an erection for longer periods? Did the tests monitor how long your nocturnal erections lasted on average?Want One FREE Month of Coaching? PM or email me for details- or CLICK HERE

My testosterone levels are normal (403ng/dl) according to the test GP gave me last week. My sex drive is good so I don't suspect it's hormonal. The only scenario when I can keep an erection is when the penis is stimulated constantly. Once I'm inside I can keep it as long as I want. But when switching positions it gets weak fast. They only did the doppler test but nocturnal erections monitor is quite expensive and I can't afford it now.

This test level is normal for a 70 year old and not life threating your doc will not be concerned about it .
Of course your dick is acting like it is the age your test level suggests . Given that you are holding up very well if my test level gets that low it causes me more issues than it has you. I am 57y by the way and find if my test level goes below 500 I get problems.
