  • Ed at 19?

    Hi,

I'm 19 and this past year I've been struggling with trying to get hard and it's putting a strain on my relationship. I feel like I'm too young to be having these problems and it is getting quite annoying.

I'm not even able to get fully erect while masturbating, it's like semi erect. I stopped watching porn a while back and don't masturbate too much either. However I do get morning erections here and there and that's a stronger erection however I'd say it's only at about 70-80%

I am a type 1 diabetic, however my blood sugar is well controlled. Last two A1c results were 7.0 and 6.8.

I also have a vitamin D deficiency (quite low) but I'm about 2 months into taking the treatment and still having ED problems so not sure if it could be that.

Due to my job I am having to sit down for 14+ hours a day (Have been for almost a year now) and I rarely exercise either at all or even walk as I work from home. Diet is ok. Could this be a major problem, although if it was how come the viagra/cialis doesn't work.

+ I do also take zinc everyday.

It's gotten to the point where I tried viagra (more than a couple times to make sure), however the viagra didn't do anything for me and I tried it at different doses. I have read that Levitra works better for diabetics/could work if viagra doesn't do anything as everyone's body reacts differently. Have not tried Cialis either. Regardless of all this, I'm too young to be taking the medication.

Could this be due to low testosterone or what? Any advice is appreciated.

    Edit/update:
    - I've tried cialis now too and that or viagra didn't work (Tried with high doses too)
    - I got tested and my testosterone/vitamin D levels are 'normal' (Will post full results when I receive them)
    - I personally don't think it's psychological either as I'm not stressed and am very comfortable with myself/girlfriend and she is understanding about this too.
    - Forgot to mention, when I do tense my penis a bit it is 10/10 hard. I know that seems obvious but don't know if that is a sign of something or not.

Hi If your getting good strong morning woods then its not ED, I think as you have not said just how much porn you watched but it could be from that, its kind of switched your brain partly off, its just a time of getting things back together again.

But for now like Peg has said get a blood test done for your hormones and ask for a copy and you can post a copy on here.

One thing you can try is getting in a bedroom with your GF naked and have lots of foreplay and if she is willing keep doing that with her, and drink her sexuality in. let it fill your brain and perhaps it will fill your penis, this is a must do thing.

That sounds like 15 yrs of low testosterone

            Suggestion:

Print your post, and let a Urologist or your Primary care Physician read it.

The anxiety monster could be taking root, and that will not help positively.

Hi So what happened before you was 19? anxiety, stress or perhaps depression if any of these was you put on drugs for any of them? or anything else happen like an accident that involved your groin area or a trauma of some kind, have a big change in diet, for most of us who have had ED something kicked it in.

Have a good think about your life then and note it all down and come back.

See there was something then, if you know where it was and if you put your finger there can you get a good erection then?

                  Try it and come back.

                    Stay away from porn.
                    Do flaccid penis massage.
Read and implement the Hans Protocol. These excersizes and other yoga targeting the lower abs, lower back, pelvis, and thighs would help.
The diabetes and low vitamin d are both possible testosterone killers. Definitely get a hormone blood workup.

I remember falling ontot he crossbar of my bike when I was 10 or 11 yrs old and smacking my perineum. I remember it was painful. Anyway up until age 19 I had perfect erections anytime I wanted just the thought of sex would make me 100% hard.

I got mononucleosis/glandular fever age 19 and during the illness I tried masturbating and it wouldnt work like it used to and never has since. This was October 2001. I havent had 1 proper erection like my teens since. Its hard flaccid and drains instantly if I stop stimulating it even masturbating. My sex drive has slowly diminished to zero.

Hi Did a read up about glandular fever and after some search ing come to this link below and a about ferritins

this took me to this link

Does anything you read match up with you, if it is get your ferritins tested and take it from there.

This is just a thought of where you can look.

                              Hi,
I guess my ferritin levels are ok as my last blood test early this year the doc said I had too much iron so ordered another blood test and the iron level was normal 2nd time.

I might go to my local GP next week and get a blood test. I will ask about it and get testosterone done. Free testosterone testing is hard to get. Any doc I've been to looks at me funny when I ask about it. They can only do total testosterone.

I stopped going to doctors about my ED 6 rs ago because my situation was so hopeless. I had been to 4 urologists in 3 different countries and many GP's. Nobody could fix it. Im only 35 now. I have hardly any libido and masturbating is boring as hell with no orgasm. I can ejaculate but the erection is soft. I dont bother with chasing women anymore. Ive resigned myself to a shit life.
