  • Possible Venous leak

    Hi all,

Just looking for some help and advise.
I am looking at getting a Doppler test next month but looking to venous leak recently.
I get no morning or night erections, only just at to stay hard enough for sex and there erections are completely position dependant.
Has anyone been diagnosed with venous leak that can help at all?

My last erection on cialis was super strong but I’ve been having weak erections since

If you have strong erection on cialis then you don't have a venous leak.

If I had a strong spontaneous (ie non stimulated) erection that lasted around 20ish minutes last night, am I safe to rule out a venous leak?

What makes you think you may have a venous leak- especially when you can maintain a non-induced erection for 20 minutes(!)

I don't think he has one so let's not suggest one.

@Big Al - Well it wasn't exactly spontaneous, I fell asleep high on weed then woke up at 3am-ish on the sofa. A couple of minutes later I got hard and it wouldn't go away until I urinated 20 mins later. So although I was awake, it was a nocturnal erection.

@nblade98 No injury I can recall but I did pop a pearly pimple type thing on my penis last night and it's become inflamed, but that's obviously nothing to do with EQ so it's irrelevant (not an STD before anyone says, just unsightly )

But yeah, whilst I'm now sure PF/anxiety is my issue and VL was never the prime suspect, the long lasting erection tells me to eliminate VL from my enquiries...

                I would quit weed .
You need to get a hormone test . Post the numbers here. Do not accept being told normal get the numbers.

Easier said than done, old habits are hard to kick.

Already done that and posted here, hormones are not the issue.

This doesn't answer why you think your issue is caused by venous leak.

Your penis doesn't discriminate between nocturnal erections and ones you induce yourself, through arousal, etc. The mind is another matter altogether, and may very well be affecting your erections due to the stress involved in your suspecting an injury.

I only suspected venous leak because there has been occasions where I've lost my erection quicker than I'd like whilst masturbating and on very rare occasions not got one at all. My morning wood is only 70-80% as well. Isn't a VL basically more outflow than inflow?

And I never suspected or mentioned any injury?

But I no longer suspect VL for what it's worth.

And to clarify, I don't mean losing erections whilst stimulating. That's very rare that happens if at all these days. I've read on here that if you stop sexual stimulation, the penis should stay fully erect for at least 30 seconds until it STARTS to go down otherwise a VL could be present? Starting to think that's bs however

If the bulk of your attention is attuned to expecting your penis to deflate- instead of the positive anticipation of a sexual encounter or pleasure, there's going to be a hit in your performance.

Venous leak is a nebulous term- even among specialists. Again, what you describe overall doesn't indicate you have a venous leak.

Still, if you want absolute confirmation there's nothing wrong then look into a cavernosogram. This will eliminate any doubts- even though the procedure is considered a last resort- and is not pleasant to undergo. Even with this, a clear cavernosogram won't ensure you don't have any erectile issues- especially if said issues are doe to anxiety.

The thing is I've identified a clear physical issue, a tight PF. But even my physio makes no secret that relaxation and losing anxiety are key to solving PF issues (along with excersises)

The 20 minute erection tells me I don't have VL so I will leave it there.

Anyway, I hope I don't come across as argumentative as I know you in particular know your stuff. I'm just passionate when I wish to make a point. Or stubborn, whatever you'd prefer
