ED after starting jelqing for 3 days. Please help, very worried.

    Hi all,

    I'm a 28 year old man. I started jelqing around 4 days ago. I did the basic exercise where you make an "OK" sign with your thumb and pointer finger and pull up from the base to the tip, for around 10 minutes a day. I'm afraid I might have not been gentle enough, or I might have squeezed too hard. Today, I can't get a full erection. Even when I'm flaccid, my penis looks smaller than usual, probably because there's less blood going in the penis for some reason. When I was doing the exercise, I don't think there was a moment where I felt like I "broke" something. Nothing "popped", like in the other stories that I hear. I'm not sure if my penis feels numb or not. It's possible, but it's possible it's all in my head too that it's numb.

    This has never happened to me before. I'm usually able to get rock hard boners. What should I do? I just masturbated earlier, but my dick was only barely hard (5 inches, compared to the 5.75 inches I usually am).

    May have went to hard, not getting full erection can be from fatigue.

      Hey nblade !

      Welcome to the Gym

      It would be a good idea to click on the Start Here button at the top left of the page. Lots of good information on what the Gym is all about, including best practices and safety tips.

      It is always recommended to start with a beginners routine (doesn't have to be the JP) and continue with it for 90 days or until you stop gaining. Start slowly and build up to the full routine over a few weeks.

      Jelq with an erection level between 40 and 70%. Do not grip too tight, just enough to feel blood moving up the shaft. When stretching, grab your shaft about one inch below the glans and do not pull too hard, just enough to to feel a slight stretch. Let your PIs be your guide as to how hard to pursue your routine.

        I suggest that you follow not2bigs advice and get on a structured beginner routine such as JP90. While you are doing all the preliminary reading and properly understanding the process and techniques, you might want to take a couple of days off to satisfy yourself that you have not actually "broken" anything.

        The best advice is not to rush things as the last thing you want is to cause a preventable injury (you only get one dick so treat it well!)

            My flaccid dick has been smaller than usual all day. I'm really worried. It's hard for me to get an erection right now. I just looked at porn just now and I couldn't even get hard. Should I go see a doctor?

              You have likely overtrained a little and just need a rest . The biggest issue i have seen with this type of stuff is guys freaking themselves out and that causes ongoing issues.

                Thank you for the reassurances, but reading the internet about people who have permanently messed up their dick worries me. I guess I'll rest for a few days. I guess I shouldn't have masturbated twice today. Sigh. I don't have hard flaccid, my flaccid dick is very small right now, as if not enough blood is circulating to the penis. I fear I may have damaged something. Sigh. I'll check back in tomorrow.

                    I experience the same and happen to have a very conditioned dick, some can go all out with jelquing while the rest of us must be very careful not to pass that threshold. If you keep jelquing the way you are don't do it on consecutive days. What you are experiencing is actually a good sign imo because every time that happens to me my dick bounces back bigger than it was previously. My advice is use less pressure on the jelqs and focus more on expansion without force. This is also something I only deal with while erect jelquing and have since switched to flaccid jelquing.

                        Yeah I jelqed when I had a full boner. Might have squeezed too hard. Good news though. Last night and this morning I was able to get a full boner. Although it didn't last as long as it usually does, it was a good sign. I'm going to keep resting the next couple days.

                          Update: I was able to get morning wood the past 3 mornings, at maybe 85-90% EQ. However, my dick is still smaller than usual when it's flaccid. It's hard for me to get a boner during the day, even when looking at porn. When I kiss my girlfriend and she gives me a blowjob, I'm able to get a 90% EQ. Do you guys think I have venous leak? I'm super scared. What should I do.

                              You just need more rest. Like I said before, my dick is very conditioned and an intense erect jelquing session can require 3 or 4 days of girth work rest along with it. Now for you is the perfect time to do some length work as the tunica is in an exhausted state. Realistically, expect 100+ after a good week or so. In the meantime, utilize a rice sock warm up every now and then.
