  • 25 and experiecing ED: nothing seems to work (desperate)

    Hi there, guys,

    Today I'd like to share a bit of my story with you guys in hopes of hearing some feedback or advice.

    As the title says, I'm 25 and I've been experiencing ED for about a year now.

    In a nutshell, this is what I have done so far:

    - went to a general practitioner, took a whole lot of hormone tests (testosterone, thyroid hormones, blood sugar levels, prolactin, sodium, etc.);

    - all results were fine (no hormonal imbalances detected);

    - went to a urologist, who asked me a few questions trying to identify whether I had an underlying disease (since I had none, he assumed my case was psychogenic);

    - urologist prescribed me tadalafil but it had no results and only gave me a literal headache (used it 4 times following the prescripton, none worked);

    - initiated a natural, home treatment with ginseng and ginkgo biloba (didn't work either).

    I don't think my case is psychogenic for two reasons:

    - my ED is not circumstancial, I don't wake up with a boner or have spontaneous erections anymore - in fact, I don't have any kind of erections anymore, not even when looking at porn (my penis gets a little bigger but not really erect)... My penis even looks softer and smaller than usual...

    - I talked to the general practitioner and, when I told him it's not a circumstancial problem, he came to the same conclusion.

    I don't have any known diseases, I work out four times a week. I don't know what is happening to me. I've already spent a lot of money trying to fix this issue. I can't afford another appointment with the doctor.

    Did any of you go through something similar? What do I do now? I'm desperate! Help!

    How about seeing a different urologist and getting a Doppler?
    The world's still a toy if you just stay a boy!

      You say porn doesn't get you hard but helps a little. Have you been a heavy porn user? Be honest here. Lots of guys (myself included) have experienced "Porn-Induced ED" and no thats not a medical term. Just throwing that out there in case it might apply to you.

            I wouldn't consider myself a heavy porn user... In any case, have you seen any improvement? What helps?

                Until you're able to see a different urologist... Diet? Tobacco? Alcohol? Sleep quality? Stress/anxiety/depression?

                  You seem like a meticulous guy.
                  And since your medic couldn't find a biological cause and nothing seems to work, I strongly recommend you find a good psychotherapist.
                  Depending on your type there are a plethora of psychology schools to choose from.

                        I would consider heavy being daily. Thats where I was. Thats how I got ED. Trust me, its worth cutting out even IF you don't believe it to be the problem.

                          Don't shy away from the psychological side. Relaxation is required for erection. If we always knew ourselves and controlled our selves we would rule the world. You work out so I'm guessing you are fairly good health wise, but think about adding yoga and other stretching routines. Building our muscles can cut blood and nerve flow to our penis. Focus on lower back, abs, hips, pelvic floor, glutes, and thighs. Definitely stop using porn at all. If it is the problem it can take a while but rebooting is very attainable. Your brain and physiology can stop your penis from working. If the brain decides it can get its rush of chemicals from porn without wasting any bodily energy through the penis the brain considers itself a hero.
                          We need to see those blood numbers as stated by Pegasus.

                              I hardly eat any trash food. I don't smoke and only drink occasionally. I sleep probably 6-7 hours a night. I've been told I don't usually snore or make noises but sometimes I do. I used to feel really tired during the day which made me think my sleep quality was low but a few changes in my diet and routine changed that, so I'm guessing my sleep quality is okay. I'm a bit of an anxious person, though...
