  • Tips for erectile dysfunction

Hello to all . I showed up yesterday and got some idea by reading many of the posts (nice community).

I think I suffer from erectile dysfunction. I am 27 years old and about 4 or 5 years ago I suffered from acute non-bacterial prostatitis and fortunately with a series of supplements and medicines I came out of it. Since then I think I have lost something in terms of sexual performance.

Obviously I can have the relationship, only that I notice that I don't have full power or that after it gets hard I can't keep it and it becomes flabby.

I don't know what to try, I don't know if I have to take any supplements. I did analysis in the period of prostatitis, and I also checked spemra and everything seems ok. The doctor says I'm healthy as a fish.

I would add that I do not suffer from psychological problems and I have had the same girl for 8 years now (this is to say that I have not suffered any emotional trauma) and she is still a sexually satisfied girl.

    What about you?

There are all sorts of other things that will contribute to ED:

    Physical health
    Smoking
    Diet
    Performance Anxiety
    Porn

I had a period of Performance Anxiety Induced ED. It also coincided with a time in my life that was particularly stressful and I was in bad shape.
I started by improving my physical activity, diet and so on. I also engaged in a rigorous PE regimen that resulted in rock hard erections at the age of 51.

I am very sincere, especially because I want to get help.thanks for the reply.I have never smoked in my life, my diet is balanced (controlled and I am in normal weight based on my height), I do not suffer from performance anxiety because I would have admitted it, the only painful note is that I watch a lot of porn. In fact, I set a goal not to open multiple porn sites.lately I started the kegel exercises, only those but they are still in the testing phaseI'm thinking of buying Maca supplement (with zinc, b6 and ginko)What do you recommend?

Well, stop the porn. Pretty much all else will be a waste of time if you do not get that under control.

Then consider aerobic exercise, kegel/reverse kegel routine, 5G tea, yoga and edging.

That episode of prostatitis could have been the cause.

I don't understand the exact mechanism but his is how my ED began (30 years ago) and there are numerous other similar cases.

The prostate is still a poorly understood organ, I'm afraid. All I know is that it's central to sexual functioning and anything that upsets it can have repercussions; sometimes long-term!

A lot of "prostatitis" isn't actually directly a prostate problem rather it involves pressure on the prostate nerves and blood vessels from the pelvic floor. While there can be many causes of ed there are 2 we particularly look at onsite that are underdiagnosed ,hormone issues and pelvic floor issues . This quote is re pf issues .

We recently finished another round of the increasingly popular Physiopedia Volunteer Orientation Course. As part of the final assignment members were tasked to write an original piece of work to share with the profession, the contributions were of the highest quality. Below is the great piece of work written by Mandy Roscher.
Physiotherapists have been successfully helping women with pelvic floor dysfunction for a long time. Men’s Health Physiotherapy is now slowly gaining momentum. With more research being done every year we are realising that interventions focused on the pelvic floor muscles can help with a variety of pelvic problems in men. Cohen et al, 2015 published a literature review that introduces the readers to the basic functional anatomy of a male pelvic floor, its relationship to sexual function and how pelvic floor muscle rehabilitation can help.
              How Does an Erection Happen?

An erection occurs due to a complex interaction between the vascular system, the parasympathetic, sympathetic, somatic and central nervous system with hormones and the muscular system also playing a significant role. An erection occurs when blood flows into the corpus cavernosa (tubes within the penis) faster than it can leave the penis and a closed hydraulic system maintains the erection.
What Role Do The Pelvic Floor Muscles Have In Erectile Function?

All the pelvic floor muscles (superficial and deep) have shown to be active during the period of an erection and orgasm. The ischiocavernosus helps to maintain the rigidity of an erect penis and fast contraction of the bulbospongiosus muscles are important for ejaculation.
What Can Happen To The Muscles?

The pelvic floor muscles can become weaker or hypoactive or they can have a higher resting tone which is known as a hyperactive pelvic floor. Both can affect erectile function indifferent ways. Pelvic floor muscles can become weaker with age and inactivity. They can also become hypoactive from nerve damage such as post prostatectomy. If they are under active they will not be able to help maintain an erection or allow for ejaculation and orgasm. Pelvic floor muscles can become hyperactive in men with Chronic Prostatitis and Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome, This results in a higher resting tone or “tight” pelvic floor. It is thought that the when the pelvic floor muscles have a resting tone that is too high it may compress the lumen from the outside which will limit the blood flow to the penis thereby affecting the erection.
              How Can Physiotherapy Help?

There is more and more evidence coming out that pelvic floor muscle retraining can be very effective in treating erectile dysfunction. A detailed assessment by a suitably qualified physiotherapist will determine if the pelvic floor muscles are playing a role. The most important part is to determine if the pelvic floor is hypoactive or hyperactive. Giving pelvic floor exercises will significantly improve erectile function in someone with an underactive pelvic floor but will make a hyperactive pelvic floor much worse. Men with overactive pelvic floor muscles need to work on down-training or relaxing their pelvic floor muscles rather than strengthening.
              Conclusion

While the ability to achieve and maintain an erection is multifactorial, pelvic floor musclesplay a vital role. Pelvic floor muscle training has been shown to be an effective therapy in the treatment of erectile dysfunction. They could even be the missing link for some men that are struggling and have tried other interventions.

The other thing you need to do is post the numbers of your hormone test here .

All the tips here are really good and working! Stick to them and stay healthy, guys! I also think that you might like some pills like those from Canada Drugs Direct for you. I have been using that service, and I like it a lot, I have to say.
