Some quick background:
27, M, have struggled with hemorrhoids for a long time, which left me with a subconscious constant clenching of my kegel muscle. I didn't realize that I flexed the muscle all day every day until I decided to get into kegel exercises. This led me to focus on relaxing the muscle in daily life, while following a gentle kegel/reverse kegel routine which I thought would help my issues with low libido and poor erections.
Understood quickly that even careful kegeling is counterproductive and leaves me with no effect other than an immense urge to pee. These issues, paired with a bad porn habit and performance anxiety, led me to take my sexual health seriously and I dug into the literature on all things erection related, and I came over a guide for locating and training the IC (ischiocavernosus) muscle
I tried it, and with the help of some additional guides for locating the IC muscle, felt I was able to. Immediately after some flexing I got a rock solid erection. Tried some more and it got so intense I though I would orgasm. I'm fairly certain my pelvic floor is completely messed up, and after this, hopeful that training the IC will help balance things out. But I don't understand the immediacy and intensity of the effects after some short flexes of the muscle.
This was yesterday, and I tried again today with some longer flexes, and I almost had a hands free orgasm, stomach shaking and all, which has never happened during O before. Most intense thing I’ve felt in that regard.
Anyone with some knowledge of the anatomy have any thoughts about the mechanisms at play here?
