I've been prescribed 10mg cialis. Lately I've been breaking it in half and taking 5mg daily. Well today I had 5mg at 11am and 5mg at 830pm. I have read not to take more than one dose per day but I also read 20mg max daily. Will I be okay since I took two 5mg in the same day?

You are still only taking the 10 mg prescribed.

Yeah the "no more than one dose daily" kinda freaked me out. I've been taking 5mg daily for the last 5 days. First time I've taken two of them same day.

Yeah well I have all sorts of anti drug rep, but the dc said 10 mg so you should be ok.

you are still taking 10mg at the end of the day so I dont think theres a problem if you take 5mg in the morning and 5mg in the evening

The problem, though only slight, is that Cialis remains active for 36 hours. Accordingly, after taking a total of 10 mg. in 24 hours, you still had some active Cialis (say 2 + or - mgs.) remaining in your system from the previous day. Personally, I don’t believe it will have any significant negative effect on maintaining a long lasting erection. Having sex should eliminate any adverse longevity og your erection.

I have done the same thing. My doc prescribed 5mg and it usually works well, but on occasion it does not seem to be as effective. Probably because of what I ate that day, or something. I asked if I could try taking two 5mg to see if there is an improvement. He said it was OK to do that. I have taken both at the same time, and taken both at different times of the day (morning, and two hours before sex.) I have seen a boost when I do that. It stays in my system for 30-36 hours on average; which is a great feeling.
