Possible position dependent mild ED checking in....no problems when woman on top, erection dies down when standing within 10-15 secs.
Got some blood work done the past week, readings as below -
Total Testosterone - 6.14 ng/ml
Free Test - 10 ng/dl
Bioavailable Test - 234 ng/dl
Estradiol (E2) - 52 pg/ml
Prolactin - 12.04 ng/ml
Active lifestyle, Age 38, Lift weights 3x a week and cardio 2x a week, height 176 cms, weigh 75 Kgs at around 15% BF. Been lifting for almost a decade now, cardio started around 45 days ago. Can hit 5 Km as of date in around 33-34 mins.
Lipid Profile, Thyroid test, blood sugar, creatinine all looking normal
Consulted two urologists here who opine that E2 being higher than normal shouldn't cause problems with erection. I see enough content on the internet and on bodybuilding forums to contradict them though, high E2 descriptions appear to fit my pattern - sex drive present but dick does not respond as expected all the time. Dick gets hard but doesn't stay hard enough for penetration in positions where the man needs to do all the work
Thinking on the following lines for supplementation
Withania Somnifera (Ashwagandha) - taking for a month now
Zinc & Magnesium
Vitamin D - done with a course
Fish oil - taking this for a month
What natural aromatase inhibitor should I get started with? DIM/Indole 3 Carbinol or should Grape Seed extract be a good start?
Would it also make sense to add L-Arginine to enhance Nitric Oxide and improve blood flow?
Based on whatever research I've done so far it looks worth the effort to try and get the E2 level in the 20-30 range before taking the usual measures like Tadalafil.
Have cut out porn consumption and working on better muscle control down there. Also doing M while standing to train the mind and body out of any set patterns they may have gotten used to. Never been a PMO addict, porn access only after I hit my 20's. On an average might have been watching porn while M once in 4/5 days

Inviting views....
Can the E2 level and Test/E2 ratio explain the situation?
Does my supplement plan look decent?

Member cotto advised this
quote
How to Lower Estradiol Levels
- Lose fat. Fat contains an enzyme that converts testosterone into estrogen.
- Eat lots of broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, and Brussels sprouts. They contain a chemical that "fights" estrogen.
- Take curcumin. It reduces the effects of an enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogen.
- Take resveratrol to decrease the activity of that estrogen-converting enzyme.
- Don't get old. The older you are, the more estrogen-ey you are. (Okay, if you insist on aging, then at least put the above tips into action.)

- I would add mushrooms

As you can see above if the figures you have given are correct your total test is about a tenth of what it should be .
Yet the free test is what it should be roughly which does not make sense even though free test is commonly inaccurate .
Estrogen is high .
If you have written it correctly someone seems to have made a mistake And you should get retested

I understand now. Where I come from, the labs report it the way I wrote in my earlier post (which is confusing no doubt). Expressed in conventional units -
My total test is 614 ng/dl
Free test is 100 pg/ml
Estradiol is 52 pg/ml
At my age 38, test readings are in range. E2 is high and I should work to get this closer to 35 pg/ml
Will get the supps started and do a retest in a couple of months to see if I am on the right track.

If you look at your op you will see you put the decimal point in the wrong place with total test . So 6.14 dl converts to 61.4 ml not 614 . The 614 makes a lot more sense .
The E lowering advice is good, the mushrooms can be the standard from the supermarket, the veg is cheap the cheapest source of curcumin is turmeric the standard cooking herb.
Limit alcohol ,avoid beer . Limit soy .
If the panel had shown shgb is probably would have been high .Last edited by Pegasus; 01-20-2021 at 09:15 PM.
