  • Cock Rings

I am thinking I should go out and get one tonight. The thing is how can I get past the stigma and go in the store and do it?

Any of you guys had to resort to one? How did you handle going in to get it? I was going to get my girl to buy it but there is not a toy store within 30mins of her. Not sure if the Walgreen's and Walmart ones are good enough.

Did it help with the ED?

I cant believe I have to do this.

I presume you're buying one because of an ED related issue you're having? Unfortunately, the one I bought was just because I wanted to add some kink to the sex I was having and not for an ED issue. When did your ED start and how old are you?

I am 42. I have a thread bout most my issues in here "Am I Screwed?" My issue and my thought process was that they (cock rings) were for guys who couldn't get it up or keep it up. So, when I walk in there it's like having " I have ED I am a chump" tattooed on my forehead.

I have the same issue with buying lube (don't think I can pull the trigger on that) just different reason. Oh and toys.

Hmmm, I guess I haven't seen your other thread yet. There's no reason to be embarassed or ashamed of buying lube, toys or a cock ring. Granted, I can go into any adult shop and for me, it's like going into a candy store....I LOVE that stuff. I'll be 42 in a few months here so I'm in the same boat as you are. No, you're not screwed at all. Are you currently doing a PE routine?

No I am not. The "Am I Screwed" is my thread title in the ED forum. My lube stigma is that it's for guys who either can't get their girl wet or that they are gay ( not that there is anything wrong with being gay).
Toys stigma is it's for guys who can't get it up or they are bad in bed. That's why I have issues with buying those things.
I have never had an issue buying condoms cause well, that's manly.
No I am not doing PE right now. I am thinking about it but have several fears about it. I am brand new here.

            Mr big,
Do you not think those stigmas ring true with most people? The shop down the street is upscale but I think it is staffed only by women. Makes it harder to plop it down on the counter.

Keep this same attitude when buying your lube: "I have never had an issue buying condoms cause well, that's manly."
Buy it with confidence at your local pharmacy or even the grocery.
If you feel as though you might get judged at all by a check-out girl, then treat it as a special purchase (instead of 'hidden' among a basket of camouflage) and include a small box of chocolates. You'll be admired and respected.

But see my whole issue is a man shouldn't ever need it. The woman I am with should always get wet (thank god never been an issue) Just feels like it makes me look bad not admired.

Well, I buy lube and toys and have a cock ring and I have no problems getting it up nor am I gay.....I guess I'm just more open about sex than maybe most guys are. Buying lube and toys and other sexual items isn't any less manly than buying condoms is but again, this is my take.

Bro, it doesn't make you look bad at all. A. when you buy that stuff, no one knows you from Adam so they don't know if you're having a problem or what B. for all anyone knows, you and your lady have an active, spicey sex life and you're adding to it and C. people who work in an adult shop are in NO position to judge anyone based solely on where they work. These issues I think are all in your head and I do understand said issues because it's really hard to sometimes turn a mindset around.

My ex stripper GF said basically the same thing when I asked her to do all the shopping. F*%# I guess I will just have to bite the bullet.

In fact, the stores like A&E with mostly female clerks are typically very friendly, helpful, and understanding. Most enjoy chating about the products in the store, will tell you the ones they and others they know use and enjoy (if applicable depending on what you at looking to buy), and will help you find exactly what you are looking for. Just like any other store that sells things! You are clearly inhibited and downright paranoid about going to a place like this when really it is not a big deal or out of the ordinary at all.

Regarding cock rings. I really do not know if they are good idea or not for solving your problem. Maybe a short-term solution but you should search the site for a long-term one. I use cock rings on occasion for fun (be careful not to leave one on to long or use one that turns your dick blue!) but I discovered when I grew my hair long that the black sandex hair-ties (Scunci, no damage soft and light, to be exact) work better than anything and are safer than most cock rings. I stretch them a bit before using them and place them below my balls for a great pump and feeling. But as I do not have EQ problems (not sure what yours are exactly) so they make me cum faster and do not improve my stamina.

This place is just like A&E just on my side of town. Man my GF is texting me the same things you guys are. Said, ask the girls for help. I told her she was fng crazy! I am trying to figure out a way to wear sunglasses in there at night. I am definitely not looking them in the eye.

I am 41 for the last few years I was having problems. I went to a HRT Dr. And I had real low testosterone. I have been on test almost a year and I feel like I am 18 again. If your test is real low like mine was it is very dangerous. Low test can cause many cancers and other things. You may want to get checked.

As far as the C ring goes I bought some online for fun.

Well online is out as she wants to try it tomorrow along with my first full dose of Viagra. So either I go to the place down the street or I drive 20mins over to A&E.
My test was 521 so they won't give me shots. I think I need them. Did the C ring help at all with the ED or did the shots fix it before you got them?
