I doubt a protein shake would cause ED. Now if you were on some sort of stimulant, like the ECA stack.... That would be a different story.
From my experience with bodybuilding, I can tell you stress from pushing yourself too hard in the gym will kill your erections for a while. The best course of action for this is either to workout a little less often or cut back on masturbation, because they both take their toll on your nervous system.

Do you ever get strong morning wood? If you do then it might be mostly psychological

So some bad news for me. I tried viagra that the doc prescribed, and I felt like the erection was stronger, but I still needed to stimulate the penis every 10 seconds in order to keep the erection. Unbelievable. I was very anxious when "trying it out" too, but I think at this point anxiety can't hold back an erection for so long.
Seeing the doc next week. What a nightmare, and I'm only 27 (-_-)'
