I came across this site while searching for Google and was enjoying some threads that I came across. Briefly about my situation, I'm at a point where I need answers in my life. I've suffered from ED since I was 15-years old or so, until that time, I remember having very hard erections. After that, it was never the same. I can "get" erections but they don't sustain themselves nor do they get as hard as I remember them getting before I began experiencing these problems (half my life ago almost). Its not a proper erection.
About me:
- Perfectly fit (regular fitness routine)
- Lack of sex drive
- According to bloodtest: perfect testosterone, thyroid, blood sugar and cholesterol.
- Did ample cycling as a youth - could I have damaged myself?
- Tried Levitra and Cialis, both work extremely well.
- No smoke and no drink.
I don't know what to do. I get so depressed about this problem because it hinders my ability to have successful relationships, also makes me fearful of them; I absolutely need to figure out if my problems are physical or psychological, I'd lean towards physical.
Last resort? I'm trying to see a urologist but after so months, they still haven't gotten my referral. Thinking from my research, the only thing that really effects teens is: vascular problems/blood vessels and psychological issues; what else could it be that a blood test could not reveal?
I dont' want to live a life of not knowing and using Levitra - does anyone have any suggestions, based on the age ED started and the many years since...?
Thanks so much.

I went to a general practioner (here in Canada- Saskatchewan to be precise) and he said he was going to refer me to a urologist in the city of Regina. I called the uro after a few months, they never heard of me. They are backlogged here for up to a year due to a shortage. I know in neighboring Alberta, they have fees for service and you can pay as you would for a regular massage.
I'd like to have the doppler test performed (ultrasound)
Aside from a venous leakage, are there any other causes that effect a teenager, progressing into adult years?
Could it have been caused permanently by excessive cycling? Until the age of 15/16 I had perfect erections. After that, never again without the aid of Levitra or Cialis.

well i will continue to try to see a urologist, but was hoping some on this site could speak from experience or i could be referred to people who suffered from similar experiences at my early age. im down to thinking only cycling could have caused it based on symptoms. i witnessed childhood trauma and the stress lasted most of my life, i'd consider it gone now.. but only in recent years. i just find it hard to believe that stress could have such an impact without any gradual breaks in between.
thanks for your help nonetheless.

You have focused on a cause, cycling, so you don't think it's in your head. Go to the urologist and when you find out you're physically normal then go and talk to a therapist, unless of course you want to have ed forever which is really silly!

Hi Saskman,
There are many many possible causes of ED, many of which science is just now starting to understand. It is very possible that you are experiencing one of these physical causes of ED. Ask your urologist for a sample pack of cialis.

Do you have the lab values for your testosterone levels?
Sometimes it doesn't matter if you have what the doc's call "Perfect" levels.(there is no such thing).
But, it's not really about the amount of test you have, it's about the ratio between Testostrone and Estrogen...and free T as well as DHT.
If estrogen is too high or too low it can kill your sex drive and erectile function. If DHT is low or you have a genetic DHT deficiency it can lead to issues, finally on the other end, if DHT is extremely high and estrogen is very low, it can lead to adrenergic dysfunction which can quickly deplete N.O levels and lead to vascular issues.

You said that you tried lavitra and Ciallis and that they worked very well. From what I understand about venous leaks, this would most likely rule out a venous leak.
Have you tried any blood flow enhancing supplements such as l-arginine, tongkat ali, Gingko Biloba, etc.?
Some guys report that light jelqing also improves blood flow into the penis.Valued Member of 11+ years at the PEGym12/'09 (start) NBP EL - 4.5, EG - 4.4
