  • There is hope after all

Hey team, just wanted to share a little success for the benefit of those also struggling with ED. I'm in my mid 50's and have always had issues which everyone seems to point at the issues being in my head. For the last couple of years the doctor has had me on cialis 5 mg for daily use and while it made a tremendous difference, I still had problems maintaining EQ. Kind of like everything was working great for 10 minutes and then willie said, OK, my job is done here and off the erection went. Most annoying to say the least. But it also strengthened my resolve to find an answer. This lead me hear to the forums and I have been doing my homework on and off for the last year or so. Unfortunately, there are so many threads, It took quite a long time to get the gist of everything included in the forums. they have been both informative, educational and at time funny as all get out.

Last month, I finally started reading threads about constriction rings. I nervously experimented with things laying around the house - rubber band, hair ties, kitchen twine. While they all showed hope, they seemed to be too much and too tight and I risked injury. I also am scared to death of metal rings. But it was thanks to these forums that I finally read to try various sized o-rings from the hardware store AND to wrap around both the shaft and balls. Well, I am here to say that it is like a miracle. What a difference - willie likes and stays around for the full count now. I highly recommend to anyone to try. Most difficult part was having a discussion with my wife and making sure she did not thing I was a freak or something. She was a very supportive trooper and expressed more concern with injury than anything else. Anyway - THANK YOU for the great tip - I feel like a teenager again!

I think the battle cry should be - Watch out, you all will be there sooner than you think.

And thanks, you are the first one to ever call me and old geezer. The disappointment shows.

I figured I had at least 10 years before that label would stick to me.

Then again, if it gets me 10% off at McDonald's, I'm all in.

If I knew back then what I know now....damn! Well, coulda shoulda woulda, right? I would have been very very dangerous (in a stupid good way) back then if I knew then what I know now. LOL!

This sounds like a good idea to try. How do you know what size o ring to get?
Do you measure your circumference with string then measure with a ruller ?
Are they stretchable and easy to remove ?

I've managed to resist the AARP mailings so far. but LLN is starting to convince me of the inevitable. Being a self employed Home Improvement Contractor however, I could probably still out bench him. and get my senior discount on the side.

Billy - thanks for getting it back on subject before my cane started to rust....

Use kitchen twine and wrap it around the shaft and balls and pull slightly snug but not tight. Mark the string with a sharpie. Remove the string, measure the distance and divide by 3.14159 to get the diameter. Then by that size o-ring. Yes they stretch which is the beauty of it, it does not choke you to the point of over constriction. Play with various sized near the measurement until comfortable. 2 3/16" is perfect for me, 2 1/8" is too tight - only 1/16" difference and its was too tight. Plus they are less than a buck each so buy one of each.

Side note, when I was researching on this site, it seems my measurements may be a bit larger than what others recommend. So if your comes out smaller in size o-ring, double check and go with it. I recall the recommended start sizes being in the 1 3/4" range. To each his own personal size.

Is it possible if you used o ring for 20 minutes each day it would cure ed. I am think that if you are filling the chambers with blood ,they would strengthen.

OP...are o-rings metal or rubber? Also, what about something like a strap on ring so you can just take it off without sliding it off? And what material do you suggest?

They can be both rubber or metal.
